Actions speak louder than words...

Is it reasonable to judge a person's attitudes through their actions?
I mean is that acceptable to judge one's behaviour through their actions?

Because I mean if one is going to judge somebody, then their actions are the only possibly basis on which to judge.You can never know for sure what somebody is thinking or feeling, so their actions are all you have to go on. Right 🙂

I think I need to clarify what I mean by "judge."

If I decide whether I like someone,' then of course I do that on the basis of their behavior; I have nothing else to go on.

Like making guesses about what to expect from someone in the future,' then again, I pretty much have to do this. Again, I have little else to go on.

Because according to my co-worker , actions alone are often not sufficient to establish a personality; I told her that It's not what you say that's important but It's what you do.

We can only assume what someone is thinking or feeling when they verbally express it. The actions confirm it. The ability to KNOW what someone is REALLY thinking/feeling and is soon confirmed by their actions is a gift. :-)

Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruit right?." So, yes, behavior is a pretty good clue about who someone actually is. Behavior is all you have to judge people on unless you are psychic

yeah i would say it's true that you can best judge someone by their actions but that doesn't necessarily mean that their actions represent who they truly are. it's just that it's all you've really got to go on. you generally can't trust anything that comes out of someone's mouth...not saying that everything is bullshit but in that you can never really be 100% sure that everything you're told is true...whereas your eyes can't deceive you so easily 🙂

you need to really see the context and the words too

a boss who is promoting you out there knowing you'll get eaten alive because he knows what's out there, knows your profile, and still promotes you fully while knowing you will fail, is that inviting you to wrongly assume the individual is selflessly encouraging you to achieve?

It's true. I always feel secure knowing I did see what I saw, rather hearing things. As for me, being a pisces mercury, I tend to concentrate (subconsciously or invariably) on the tone of the dialogue, more than the actual words. I can feel myself moving out of my body and looking at the situation from a 3rd person's point of view...what he/she would have gauged when they do not know anything about a particular situation but would realise by hearing the manner in which it was spoken.

Anywho, I'm a person who walks the walk, never talks the talk. My God of War does that for me😛
