Aris STEP father. Scorpio daughter

Honestly I don't know where to post this but I am curious as the the answer.

I know Scorpio and Aris clash.

Growing up I always remember my mother being in abusive relationships and so naturally I am very protective of her when she meets men.

She has been with my step dad for 3 years now and honestly most of the time I really just want to slap him but I know my mother loves him and he makes her happy ((don't know what she sees in him though))

Yet when we're alone we have quiet intense conversations. About his life, how hes feeling, whats going on in mine and how I'm feeling.

I can see that he tries hard to father me and I know its genuine and he really does care.

but i cant help feel that when others are around he puts on a screen and tried to be better than he is.

my op is that well, will we ever really be close? Will I ever be able to respect him? Can an Aris really truly father a scorp?

Why don't you respect him? What is it that bothers you about him? Besides putting on a front in front of other people?

I find it difficult to respect a man that can be so open with me one minute and the next minute lie because he feels the need to impress people

It's a shame you had to be subjected to watching your mom being abused by other men. That's something no kid should EVER have to endure... How old are you now?

Doesn't matter what your step-dad's sign is. If he is treating both you and your mom with respect, isn't abusive verbally, mentally or physically, just try to remain neutral. You obviously have your doubts from what you witnessed in the past. Some men are proud to show they've taken on and helping to support a family and you might be witnessing him trying to over play that when others are around. Not a big deal really. If he is trying to father you and you feel he cares for you, I wouldn't worry too much. I think the negative you experienced by other men around your mom and their demeanor may be triggering your hesitation with your step dad when some of his behaviors/gestures seem familiar.

Hes alright as a person I suppose every now and then he can get nasty but hes never hurt any of us. I don't know what it is. Its not just me. Most of my family have cut contact with my mother because they don't like him. I'm 20 now

Family may be expecting him to turn out as those your mom have been with in the past. To cut contact with her though is pretty disheartening. Especially if she is happy whether they like him or not. She's the one married to him, and should not cut her off as a result. Geesh..she's blood. That's a shame.

That's how I feel about it. I just find him difficult to get along with him. This is where the signs come in because i know our stars clash anyway, so i am wondering if its just that

I try not to pass judgement. Like I said he does have his good qualities.

I know what you mean. I had an aries friend that was open and then lied the next minute to impress other people. I know how he really is, but others don't.

I'm a scorp who was dating an aries man. Dont let his shit talking get to you. You're a scorp. Talk shit back. I use to be like how you are in the beginning. Then I just started not giving a fuck and it didn't bother me anymore. He's not being nasty(in his world). That was a compliment. Start giving him a taste of his own medicine.
