Brutally Honest

I speak to a lot of people some love me can't wait for the moment they see me again some afraid i am gonna hurt their feelings telling them things that are hurtful. And others tell me i am an ass and their are not gonna take my shit. When i just see myself being 100 percent honest is brutally honest too honest or should i tell one little white like which is gonna spark a fire of lies and people pleasing to the point where i am back where i started.

stay true to yourself...at the end of the day that's what holds up, builds character and like ssting says "denotes trust".

i suggest learning diplomacy. i've put my foot in my mouth too many times to know that it's best just to keep it zipped sometimes 🙂

i'm not suggesting lying or anything - just not saying anything at all when it's not appropriate.

like thinking, will my input really make a difference to them - because if someone does like the truth, chances are, they won't listen anyway, so is the honesty just for my self-satisfaction, just personal opinion or do i really understand their pov?

Take a look at yourself and see why it is that you need to be brutally honest. Is it always necessary to say hurtful things to people? Are you really just trying to help them or are you trying to gain power and feel superiority at the expense of hurting others. I really don't think that brutal honesty is necessary in most cases. There is always a tactful way of handling things. You can tell someone something in a gentle way and still get your point across without scarring someone for life.

k-scorp, to me brutal honesty indicates that an individual is highly critical of others. and why is that?

i respect someone who is honest, but the minute i see someone being "brutally honest" (a.k.a. purposely bringing someone else down w/insensitivity and callousness) that just screams insecurity.

it also seems that people who feel they have the right to be brutally honest with others are out-of-touch with reality as they seem to believe that they are somehow beyond criticism. unattractive.

I respect all your opinions and all but gosh talkin about a straight answer gosh i didn't get 1 JUst kidding i got tons of different perspectives on that subject. And Anyway Yeah The Scorpio i do believe is the King at Dish it out but can't take it. But guess what in the end it only matters if u believe it is important otherwise convincing to someone else that what u believe is important and they should to believe. Its useless cuz everyone has there own perspective of reality.
