Conflicting sun/moon/venus signs?

I've got a guy who is a Scorp sun, Cancer moon, and a Sagg. venus. I'm told that Scorps are almost obsessive in their love, but at the same time, Sagg.s are very hard to pin down in a relationship. Combine that with an emotional cancer moon and...

Yeah it's a bit of a conflict all around. I'm not sure how this all ties together into a person with respects to relationships? Add in being very open, honest and straightfoward...and shy! I'm scratching my head here! Let me hear your opinions on this combination of placements. 🙂

Very cool, are you a sagg. venus too? One of my best friend's sun sign is Saggitarius, and for her, yes, it's very hard to pin her down in a relationship or a friendship even. I always call her a really tough nut to crack.
