I'm happily married to my Scorpy, but the way he nags, he should be a Virgo!

Lately he's been on my case about quitting coffee, eating healthier, going to bed early, my hair color (he wants me with natural hair color), and even disapproving of some of my friends.

If he finds coffee in the house, he pours it out. He won't let me buy treats at the store (with my own money no less). He'll literally snatch it out my hands and put it back.

I'm medically underweight, so it's not because I'm fat. He insists that he just doesn't want me to die.

When others see him do this and make comments, or if I tell him that no one has ever tried to control my diet like this, he says it's because no one else loves and cares for me as much as he does.

Of course, I always resist, and I do what I want regardless, although I am trying to be healthier - of my own accord.

He's like this with his siblings, too.

Is this a Scorp trait? To be merciless nags? πŸ˜›

It doesn't seem like trolling to me. Troll topics usually are things that seem "out of this world".

I've had friends who had controlling husbands, who turned out to be physically abusive.

I just think her scorp husband is insane.

I don't think all scorpios are like him. I can be a nag though, only if you don't do something I ask for in a normal time frame and its soemthing important.

A Scorpio who tries to control others to this degree......is out of control of him/herself.

Agreed. You can't forbid anyone to do anything, especially when its normal human behaviors.

Actually it doesn't matter what the behavior is...you can't forbid anyone to do anything.

This isn't the 1800's and he doesn't own her.

lol! One day I'm going to wake up early, pile a bunch of candy wrappers and Monster drink cans on the dining table, and tell him it was my breakfast. Just to show him what a recipe for heart attack really is! 😈

Sounds like authentic "for your own good"-nagging. Which, of course, doesn't mean the habit isn't grating on you/others to whom it is directed. LOL.

Anyway; since he's the same toward family members, that's good enough confirmation he's not singling you out nor picking on you.
On a personal level, I haven't found that chronic nagging is a sign-specific Scorpio trait--that tendency is more often associated with Virgo(like you mentioned)& in some cases I've heard the same attributed to Capricorn.

Scorpio suns aren't known to be quite as overbearing per se, yet various other placements(apart from their sun)may render some "pocket dictators", on the individual scale.

Once he finally understands that you won't budge on some of the issues he gets on your case about...chances are, he'll tone it down a few(or several)notches because it's a lost cause, and you're an autonomous entity. πŸ˜›

Aha! He has Cappy Venus, and Saturn/Venus/Pluto aspects to each other.

And yea, he's like this even to his family (except his father. He's kind of afraid of his father because he was abusive when he was a kid).

I know he means well..I don't see him as pathologically controlling, like some people seem to have gotten the impression of. The nagging is harmless, just relentless. He'd make a stereotypical pregnant Cancer/Virgo housewife look like a zen Buddhist. 😱

I always do what I want regardless, and he knows that. πŸ˜„

I know 3 scorpio men who nags me mercilessly to the point that my ears would pop. and yes they are my uncles. and I am a scorpio woman for good sake. LOL

I find it HOT and sweet actually. To be passionate about what they believe in for your own good and they know that you hate it but still do it otherwise.

although your case is its about health. its not that bad, I think.

I hate being nagged. It's pointless.

I get nagged a lot when it comes to things that are important to people but aren't important in life itself and I always tell them but I at least give them the courtesy of a general time frame but I get nagged anyway.

I get nagged alot by bossy people too. Bossy people have control issues becuase they have nothing going for themselves.

I can relate to this. being alone most of my life, even as an adult I would want attention from the family that I care about. especially the older ones like my uncles, parents and elder siblings since I know they are getting older. I have attachment issues even though I am very independent. LOL
