Does he like me?

I am a Scorpio female who likes a Leo male. I have been liking him for a while. I met him 5 months ago while working at Cedar Point.
I basically told him how I felt about him and he told me he liked me, but he wanted us to be friends. There was one time where we kissed and almost had sex, but it never happened.
Sometimes I felt like he did like me because he used to always stare at me like he liked me and sometimes flirt. He always was a gentlemen and he always treated me with respect. That's one reason why I liked him so much.
He knows that I also wanted to have sex with him, but still until this day he says that he wants to be "just friends". We left Cedar Point a few days ago and we live in two different states and I'm sad because we will never see each other again, even though I can still call him. Do you guys think that even though we're far away that maybe sometime in the future that we would maybe hook up?

You told me that he always treated you with respect.It could be that he respects you so much that he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.Leo males are sometimes-until they bond strongly to someone-like butterflies.
I don't really think that he is playing games with you in order to make you fall hard for him-Leos are too honest and open for this.
However-could you tell me his age?'cause if he is older-like in his 30's or 40's - he could have developed some flirt strategy and tactics,that a 22 year old wouldn't have in his arsenal.
Another motive could be that he knew you would separate and didn't want to become emotionally involved in a long-distance relationship.Leos need their lover to be with them and not elsewhere,so this might be a reason.
How long have you been together at Cedar?and how long is since you parted?
I am asking you this to know if you had time to grow a strong feeling and to know that this feeling has grown in his absence - physical and electronical lets say-e-mail&stuff.

My leo friend is 23 years old. We met at Cedar Point in May and I departed on October 27. He never really acually flirted with me. Most girls that he was around, he made jokes with. With me, he talked to me, but not like he talked to other girls. He was always this "nice" guy. He was sort of quiet or kind of shy around me. I asked him why, and he said because he didn't want to say anything stupid in front of me.

Hmmm, well ronda22, I'm a scorp also, I have had 3 Leo boyfriends in my life, and the one I'm currently with I've been with for 3 years. I think your Leo friend had a crush on you, and let his libido go too far, and then withdrew because for whatever reason (who knows why?) he couldn't or wouldn't entertain the idea of a relationship with you. Leos are normally open and honest, but in the area of relationships can do odd things like get cold feet about committing in any way shape or form...especially when they are confused about their own feelings. It sounds like this one had ethics though, because he stopped before intercourse, perhaps (I could be wrong) this was because he knew that a relationship couldn't happen and didn't want to string you along. If I were you, I would chalk it all up to a crush that you both had on each other, and focus on someone nearer you who can be available to you in all the ways that you need and deserve.
