""How will you know when you have relinquished your stingers for the beak?""
When you can forgive. And I mean, not just in speech. When you hold no record of wrongdoing toward you. And you reach past all hurt & pain, and see the part of your "enemy" that requires healing- to love them, in spite of...
yea, i'm definitely not there yet, lol. but i feel myself getting closer.
""...she says it was through her relationship with god, that brought her to that place.""
Yes, definitely. Looking at ppl, I try to envision what they were intended to be, and not necessarily what they are acting out. Understanding that s/he is someone's beloved son, daughter, sister, father...and that someone needs them.
""I find Scorpios relationship with religion interesting.""
You know what's annoying? Always being known as "the church girl". Everyone acts like they have to walk on eggshells around you. Maybe they think I'm judging them?
Oh...and they ALWAYS ask me to say the prayer at any kind of gathering. Never fails...
She sounds judgemental and condemning, no offense. Doesn't that go against the whole concept of religion? Religion is about repentance, forgiveness, and acceptance usually. Right?
Yea, I wouldn't refer to myself as being religious. Faith and religion can be separate. Oftentimes, religion is rigid, and loses faith in the process. It becomes more about form, fashion, rules, and tradition. What about the spirit?
i don't think you ever relinquish your stinger unless you are a truly exceptional individual. i think it's always there - even if it's tucked under the eagle's tail feathers. it would be nice to think that you shed that self-destructive streak but i suspect there are always triggers that bring it out at whatever point you are in your life.
I have thought that I had made that transition a couple of times, but it was only an evolution into a more calculating usage of the stinger and better introspect.
""Sadly, I was trying to be ironic. Not necessarily funny.""
- Irony is a type of humor, right?
""Personally, I have never had problems with judgmental people. Because I know, you can't truly be non judgmental. We all have an innate sense of right and wrong. Someone is bound to fall into our idea of wrong sometime.""
- Very true. Some ppl are condescending about it though. That's not cool.
"I have thought that I had made that transition a couple of times, but it was only an evolution into a more calculating usage of the stinger and better introspect."
Thanks to the thread title, that horrid Whitney Houston song is now stuck in my head. I can see her dancing around in her pastels with that go-to-hell bow on her head too.
How will you know when you have relinquished your stingers for the beak?
If you have already surpassed the phases, how did you know?
