Understanding Scorpio's Protective Nature

Scorpios are known for their emotional strength and protective instincts. They often feel compelled to safeguard others and can be very loyal and caring. This protective trait is rooted in their intense emotions and desire for deep connections, making them natural defenders in relationships and friendships.

Question: Do you ever feel like you need people or someone to protect you? Of all three water signs, I think scorps tend to be the strongest emotionally, and I as a Virgo, can relate so I'm kind of used to protecting others quite regularly, but, there is something about being in the presence of a scorp. Never feel like I need to protect them. It just seems to happen the other way around. Your thoughts?

I can see that. My mom is a scorp and I have known many other scorps throughout my life and let me tell you, it is always so nice for a Virgo to finally be able to be in the company of someone who can reciprocate that type of protection in such an even way. It seems like we usually have to be the mature & responsible ones for all those around us but I never feel like that with Scorpios.

A Pisces can disarm a Scorpio...
and they will protect each other emotionally and Scorpio loves it.
Trust and believe.

I would think so. After all, you are both water signs. Who would know how to disarm a water sign better than another water sign.

I love how protective Scorpios are too. I'm a Pisces, and so I love to feel protected sometimes. But I can also be protective (maybe because of my Aries rising).. so I always feel like I need to protect my friends if they need it lol. But also like SV said, the water signs will protect each other emotionally, it's a mutual trust we can feel with each other.

Oh I'm sure water signs protect each other emotionally, I just love the way Scorpios can protect us Virgos. They make us feel safe.

I have an Aries rising too...

I do tend to protect people who I feel give so much of themselves. Like these girls who work at the company next door.
Some of them have cup-o-noodles for lunch because their kids need stuff, so they sacrifice themselves, so i always make sure that they eat well when ever they come over here for candy and soda. Im not attracted to any of them, I just think, If i cant be ever truly happy, maybe I can just make someones day instead. Sometimes people just need a little compassion. I never expect anything in return, I really don't. Im always looking for ways to fill the emptiness in my heart on a dialy basis. Thats usually what I get in return.

Im a lucky Virgo....I understand Scorpio and their wounds.

Awww...you're gonna make tears drop out of my eye. We Virgos really do have amazing hearts and we are not as cold as we come across, contrary to pop opinion.

It is such a wonderful thing that you do for those ladies.

I understand scorps too. Virgos and scorps have an undeniable fascination & intrigue with one another and can develop strong emotional bonds.

aPiscesPrincess,

Of all the scorps I know, some are cocky and some are just regular For as tough as Virgos are, we sometimes like to be protected too and they fit the bill along with fire signs and fellow earth signs. For me at least.

My whole life I've felt like it was my personal duty to protect my loved ones from any threat of harm. Now, I think it's my turn to be protected. I look to my fiance to do that. Often, it's the other way around. I recently expressed to him how I feel. That I need more emotional support from him. I admitted that sometimes I don't feel strong and during those times I would like to lean on him. And then I ::sighed with relief::

I feel like that right now. I've grown wary of always being the strong one.

ScorpSuperior,

It happens to everyone. Can't be the strong one all the time. The most important thing is when it's your turn to be weak, that you have someone there to support you. Someone who's got your back. It looks like you've got that and that's the only thing that matters.

I'm over-protective of my immediate family members and I'll go to bat for my lover too... but I need to feel that same protectiveness from him too. I like manly-men.. a little protective & possessive. Call me crazy but it makes me melt like butter. :]

I feel ya, Scorpio_chic. "Manly" is the word of the day. What guys do you normally date? Sign wise that is. I would think a Taurus man would be good for a scorp chic...

mmmm, I am glad you like our protectiveness VirgoVixxen!!!!!=D

But, our Scorpio protectiveness, for other people, is possessiveness. Or, it is completely misunderstood, by saying be want to control you. How sad and how clueless some people are!

When we love and care, we become over protective. I am super protective of the ones I love and thankfully I am valued for it.
Although, there has being some unfortunate people that have got the wrong impression of my protectiveness.

Oh well, too bad.

I do ASF!

I understand how one thing could be mistaken for another. I'm right there with you as others have had the wrong impression of me and thought I was just some control freak (ok, alright...I can be sometimes...LOL) but it doesn't bother me. The ones who value me for it are the only ones worth extending my 'protective services' to.

Capricorn men can do that to you. I have yet to date a Taurus but I can see that they are very strong individuals. 7 years is a long time. If you and your cappy should ever part (and hopefully not), it would be nice if that Taurus ex is a changed man.
