Compatibility can apply to various types of relationships and interactions. The problem with Sun Sign astro compatibility is that it gives no insight whatsoever as to why someone may like, not care for or have an aversion towards a specific Sun Sign.
An astro nub just collects random answers without understanding the real influence behind them (due to having little astrological knowledge), they get a few impressions from the answers they get or what they've seen here and there and start forming and solidifying erroneos and misguided beliefs about how astro compatibility works.
Then people like that come back here and spew astro nonsense out of their asses and be like "yea, so true like all aquas I met don't get along with scorpios likee.. omg"
They treat astrology like it's a guessing game that needs to be figured out by their impressions or gut feeling so everyone has their little subjective astro supertitions and everyone ends up sounding like they belong to the dark ages. Astrology is a system that can be learned, you know?

They remind me too much of my Libra mother who was very mentally, verbally and physically abusive. My Libra grandmother was the same way. She would make remarks to me that would cut deep. Then there was my Libra cousin who said things that rubbed me the wrong way. Like I’ll never forget we were clothes shopping one day and she was looking through some pants to find her size and she took one pair off the wrack and said “omg if I was this size I would kill myself!” Knowing good and well that was my size. So I guess she thought I should off myself. 🤦♀️

I agree. I constantly find people who say astrology is bullshit, but are going off basic sun sign horoscopes that are truly made up. Then once I try to bring up the aspect of a birth chart, people bring up the fact that twins don't have the same personality. That's when I counter with my personal theory that the human personality is made up of 3 major things. The birth chart, the genetics, and personal influences while growing. Past, present, future. Even after that people still want to argue, and then I drop the nuke, and people seem to never reply. I know for a fact you of all people will agree with this next part even if you don't say it. If you know someone's accurate birth chart, you can use that information to manipulate them. Even if you can't control their genetics or personal influences, knowing their birth chart and spending years studying astrology will 100% give you the ability to mess with their mind, thoughts, and send them on a different path. People freak out when I say that, and I tell them it's better if they didn't try to study deep astrology. It honestly become a burden in many ways.

Sorry for coming off a little ignorant. Maybe I should have been more specific or answer the post less vague/bias.
That being said, I like astrology and I think it could be use a tool to understand ourselves and the universe. I’m not an expert in it, but I’m still learning.
But yeah in the terms of your words, your right astrology is a system that can be learned.

I'll be honest das is a bit blut, and comes off rude and tackless 99% of the time. But they are still somewhat right, and well researched. It's really hard to ask a specific sun sign what they think about other sun signs nowadays. People don't want to play around and have fun anymore! Which is sad. I would personally ignore das and carry on with your thread. As much as I feel full birth charts are much more accurate, I personally still enjoy sun sign talk.

I used to routinely dump him for some mean shit he would say/do to others. I guess it terrified me to see how mean he could be with others so I was wondering when he would do that to me. He did attempt couple times and I would put him in his place but I got tired of it. Now he’s just mean to his wife. Maybe your mom became abusive because your grandma did a number on her.

Scorpios look at everything in a way that disgusts air signs. They are so self-serving. They really can't see anything beyond themselves and their own interests. This has just been my experience….I feel like when it comes down to it I could get along with anyone of any sign except when it comes to Libra….especially Libra women. They remind me too much of my Libra mother who was very mentally, verbally and physically abusive. My Libra grandmother was the same way. She would make remarks to me that would cut deep. Then there was my Libra cousin who said things that rubbed me the wrong way. Like I’ll never forget we were clothes shopping one day and she was looking through some pants to find her size and she took one pair off the wrack and said “omg if I was this size I would kill myself!” Knowing good and well that was my size. So I guess she thought I should off myself. 🤦♀️
All of these Libras sound downright mean spirited, which they aren’t unless they have Virgo placements. Any Virgo in said Libras charts?
Only one that has Virgo in her chart was my grandmother. She has Venus, Mars and Saturn in Virgo.
Those Libras with Venus and mars in Virgo are something else. I’ve seen Leos and Libras with Venus or mars or both in them to have a mean streak. My ex Libra had Venus and mars in Virgo. I used to routinely dump him for some mean shit he would say/do to others. I guess it terrified me to see how mean he could be with others so I was wondering when he would do that to me. He did attempt couple times and I would put him in his place but I got tired of it. Now he’s just mean to his wife. Maybe your mom became abusive because your grandma did a number on her.

At one point I was afraid for my life and knew I had to get out. Well my Libra grandmother was my dad’s mom and her and my mom butted heads frequently. My mom’s mom was a Sag and the sweetest and best grandmother ever. I stayed with her a lot when I was little. Even stayed with her for awhile as a baby when my mom got so frustrated with me and shook me because I wouldn’t stop crying. So my grandmother took me to stay with her. Sadly she passed when I was 5 so I don’t have very many memories of her.

Oh she definitely has mental issues….never been diagnosed by a professional though. She would never go and see anyone despite my father telling her she needed to see a psychiatrist all the time. She is the main reason I decided to major in psychology in school. I wanted to figure out the reason why she acted the way she did. Oh and speaking of Virgo placements my uncle is a Virgo (not sure of his other placements) and I honestly can’t stand to be around him. He is very critical. Oh and his temper is bad. 😬. I’m so glad I don’t have any Virgo whatsoever in my chart.

I don’t think I know of any Virgo/Libra cuspers. I honestly don’t know of many Virgos either. The only Virgo in my family is my uncle. Oh and my cousins wife and while she can be bit of a know it all, I have no beef with her. My sister in law is also a Libra and she’s the only Libra female I my family that I like and actually get along with.
The implication that Scorpios should be allowed to express how they feel is an affront to me. I don’t respect how they move. They should surround themselves with people who won’t invalidate their emotions because over here it’s going to always be “your feelings don’t matter to me.”
I think Aquas and Geminis can be very sweet.

To be fair, I have Scorpio sun in 7th house Libra, and throughout my life I noticed I tend to attract Geminis, Aquarius…and whenever people meet me they always (every time, without fail) think I’m a Libra despite my Aries Moon and Ascendant. Lol.
Best friends are air or fire signs. Husband is an air sign. Exes had a lot of airy placements despite being earth/water sun signs.

I LOVE GEMINI MEN!! And Aquarius women. I appreciate their lightheartedness, that they don’t try to control or change me (usually). I enjoy their adaptability, the go with the flow attitude instead of forcing things. I myself am very freedom-oriented, commitment-phobic, so Gemini makes me feel safest.
Libras are ok, not my fave but definitely not the worst.
I will say I am currently involved with a Gemini who is showing controlling behavior. This is outside the norm IME. I don’t like the controlling behavior but he’s the best I’ve ever had in bed and his life style is so different than what I’m used to that I’m intrigued.
