Scorpio Man Ghosted Me

Hey, everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read my message & my apologies for the long message in advance. I summarized it as much as I could. So I dated a Scorpio man for about 8 months two years ago. He completely iced me out and I have no idea why he did. I felt as if we were getting closer, but the closer we got, the colder he acted. A few examples of this are that he would give me a key to his home while he was at work or out to wash or watch cable (I didn't have cable or a washing machine in my complex), we would stay the night together about 4-5 times a week (per his request although sometimes he wouldn't even talk to me while I was there; it's like he just wanted me over there), he finally started opening up to my about himself, etc. Neither of us is from the city we live in and didn't really have family or friends here, so we did A LOT for and with each other. Everything was going good (so I thought) until he stopped answering my calls, blocked my email, & disappeared from my life completely. I was devastated because I REALLY, REALLY liked and cared about him. He is the extremely private type, so he isn't on social media or anything.

He used to always tell me that I "just got a rotten apple" & "he would be alone for the rest of his life" while we were friends, but I thought he was exaggerating. He had an ex of 5 years who cheated on him in their home, so he wasn't very trusting. The first week we met, he told me that he knows how to disappear. Little did I know he meant it.

We saw each other twice after he iced me. He literally ran the first time he saw me and I immediately turned around and went the opposite direction the second time out of fear of him doing what he did the first time (which really hurt my feelings).

I do not go out but I just started back in an attempt to be more social. We ran into each other at a day party about two months ago after two years of not seeing each other. Neither of us was in a position to run, so I stuck my arm out as he was passing by to stop him in his tracks & spoke. He seemed sooooo happy and excited to see me. The energy between us was intense as it always was & everyone around us could see it. My friend who was with me was even like "uuuummm what was that? He seemed excited to see you to say the least and both of yall were acting weird. Who was that?" Back to the story though, we chatted for a second & complimented each other then continued on about our night. We had a few moments of awkward silence while we chatted though & we just saw there looking at each other with kool aid smiles. Seeing him made me miss him and brought back old feelings. I haven't seen him out since, & I am fearful that he stopped going to that place because he saw me there. I miss him & want to be friends again. I just wish I had an idea of what happened between.

His feelings got deep and he ran away. You did nothing wrong he just has trust issues from his ex obviously and having trouble of letting go of his past hurt.
