oh man, i have two huge ones...on my back and on my chest. both are original designs by me ->
back one is of two dragons (one angelic, one dark) eating and swallowing eachother in a circular pattern. inside the circle are the old alchemical signs for the sun and moon with a big crack going down the center. around the circle are the thirteen levels of heaven according to kabbalah mythology in all different word languages.
the second on my chest is a huge heart in maroon, brick texture with four apartment windows. each window represents a different chamber of the heart through all four elements, there's a zipper going up the heart and two street lights intertwining and shining light down into the darkness of the unzipped heart. two stick figures, a male and female are staring across from eachother into that darkness with their legs dangling.
i'm a skinny dude so both hurt like a bitch. and girls with tattoos are really hot, especially if they're elaborately done and meaningful.
Truth be told, I've seen more bad ink in my life then good.
Like a girl I know who got a frog on her ankle. "Why'd you pick that?" "I dunno, cuz I like frogs"
I realise some tats arent done for esthetic purposes. Like an old girlfriend who had her brothers name done on her forearm, all jail-house style an shit. But he died in a motorcycle crash, so the feeling behind it was genuine. Cool.
I'm pretty certain I'd never get a tattoo. I don't find them appealing on women. Plus, as I've mentioned before, I'd be grief-stricken to see myself as an old woman with unidentifiable, shriveled markings on my wrinkled skin.
Still, I've noticed quite a few tattoos designs that were pretty hot, on both men and women.
I think among the best places for it would be on the back of neck or directly above the buttocks. Both can be covered easily, for work purposes if need be.
Im not oppose to tattoos although I dont have any. I would suggest on a woman (depending on the type of career your looking for) getting it somewhere discrete. (I honestly hate when women dress nicley/classy (evening wear) and have the upper arm tat or chest tat...the upper back is alright, but a little pushing it IMO.)
If I were to get one I would like it go down the side of my torso; I hear the ribs hurt like a biotch though.
For guys, I dont care....as long as its meaningful and artist, for both men and women I have no issue with them. One of my fave shows is Miami Ink.
tattoos challenge us to to find something we so adamantly believe that we'd have it inked onto our bodies forever. when done correctly they symbolize great inner conviction and strength.
She had it done just minutes prior to that picture. She asked me to drive her to the place that did it. Funniest fucking thing was the aquarium with tatooed goldfish swimming in it! I kid u not! They had peace signs and "I lOVE YOU" tot'd on their scale.
damn i saw this girl today when i was walking home from work who was all tatted up - two full sleeves. she had on these tight black ultra thin pants to the point where i could see her ass jiggle, and she had a shitload of purple eyeshadow and black eyeliner on. i was mesmerized. she looked like such a hoebag, it was great.
well, i think men's necks are sexy in general. friends call me wierd. i dunno, but that area b/w their neck and shoulder seems like a resting place for my head.
I remember when those barcode tats became popular. Some dude had one done that was the chemical code for Ecstacy on the back of the neck. What fkn poser
I've considered that- having your husband's name tattooed onto you. In the end, I voted against it. The only way is if my child shares the same name. Nowadays, you can't count on love. 😢
""A couple both getting a tat of a heart behind their ears. I thought that was sweet because it was discreet, and symbolized something that was only theirs. Ya know?""
Yea. Were they personalized? Or just the heart alone? Either way it sounds cute. Must hurt like hell though.
I saw someone who had a tatooed wedding ring on the finger. Not like a "ring", but it had words written around the finger where the ring would normally be. But I dont remember if it eachothers names or what. But it seemed really unique and meaningful.
i always said i would never get a tattoo, but i did. and so far i don't regret it at all. did it hurt, yup. not gonna lie. the whole time i was sitting there thinking, "why am i willingly putting myself through this? am i crazy?" 😛 (got it above my ankle, so it was really close to the bone) but it was worth it. it's as much a part of me as my nose now. 🙂
there are three types of tats off the top of my head that i can't stand:
1.) tramp stamps (as previously mentioned) 2.) generic armbands (so meaningless) 3.) and tattoos on the face (distracting among other things)
tattoos i've seen that i love love love:
1.) a banzai tree on a guy's side - looked very good and was unique 2.) my tattoo! 😛 3.) a lesbian who got rainbow colored stars down her side (a little cliche but meaningful to her and looked kick ass)
pretty much anywhere is "acceptable" to me (although i just can't stand them on the face)...even the small of the back and around the arm AS LONG AS THEY HAVE MEANING. 😛
""I don't even wear shirts that has things written on them ...""
Neither do I. I don't exactly know my reason though. I think part of it has to do with the fact that they remind me of something an adolescent would wear. And it bothers me when I'm mistaken for a teenager.
"- Do you have any tattos? How many and of what? Did it hurt?"
- Yes I have 2. The one on my left arm is a chinese symbol for butterfly and the other one on my back says "Caramel Sundae" and it has a cherry on top of the words. The one on my arm did not hurt. However, the one on my back did. I was holding a teddy bear while getting it done. lol
- If you don't have a tattoo, could you see yourself getting one? any ideas for designs?
- what is the most suitable/unsuitable place for a tattoo on the body?
- what do you think of women with tattoo(s)? sexy? unappealing?
