Some of y'all have asked about The Scorp Twins, so I'll try to jot some brief updates here...
[1] Solid Food (OK, more solid than milk!)
We've just started them on solid food, and although it's messy as hell, it's a lot of fun!! I get to help more with the feeding, and y'all know how us Virgs like to help. I am proud of our Son -- he gives us a lot less trouble with the new food, and actually seems to enjoy it. So... his Sister is now the bigger titty-baby. If his appetite stays up, and she stays glued to the teet, he'll be heavier than her before the summer...
Dyar what are they're first solids? aka purees.. Rice cereal stuff or are they getting into Gerber 1st foods like bananans, pears? I have an 11 month old that I have to arm wrestle to get him to eat his veggies, but he loves all fruit. He cannot stand meats..but I have to sneak it in his oatmeal. He just had his first scrambled eggs yesterday it was so cute. I have been very careful to test him for various food allergies. So far none have popped up.
My first would not eat anything but yoghurt, so I put everything in but the kitchen sink -- meat, peanut butter, cod liver oil etc. etc. I used to put on her favorite TV program so her mouth would hang open 🙂
This is not directly related to The Twins, but before the pregnancy, my Scorp weighed right at 100 lbs, and was on the slender side of petite. Now, she's at about 112, and much curvier, and I absolutely love the new look! Gone from B cup to D cup, too! Plus, she's got this new energy -- ScorpMom mojo?? -- that radiates out and warms up the whole room!
Thank God she's not a Virgo. So far, no fretting about the extra poundage, and I'm careful not to go on & on about how much better she looks. I'm hoping this is a permanent change...
