If there were no such thing as a ballad, rhyme, or melody, would there be a major difference in our moods and verbal/physical expression?
No piano, horn, or stringed instruments. How do you suppose our daily activites and interactions would be affected? What change about our relationship roles?
Music reflects the social conflicts, economic struggles, and political shifts of the time period in which it was created. Music speaks to the future generations, harboring in its notes, predictions and forewarnings.
No music = lifeless
The world would rapidly self-destruct in the absence of music.
I just discovered SIRIUS Radio last night. Friend has it and I was gobsmacked at how many cool stations there were to listen to! Just awesome flipping around the dial, no commercials, lots of talk stations too.
At one point, we were all rocking out to that 80's song The Safety Dance S>.....A>.....F>....E>......T>.....Y>......Is It Safe To Dance, yes the safety dance.......
That SIRIUS had some prety raunchy channels on it! We were listening to one called Roudhouse Blues, and some song came on about majoring in smoking grass and fking girls during highschool. Ahh...good ole American blues!
When we saw Chaka Khan perform at a concert last summer, we thought we were going to go into cardiac arrest from sheer excitement. She seemed a little exhausted, but she's still got it! All she had to do was her signature holler, and people were ready to tear the roof off.
""So I talk to myself, I give plenty time To all these decisions lying in my mind Holding hands or put my arms around her waist Neither one of the these two will I try in haste Taking my time to work the problem out Yet trying to convince her that there is no need for doubt""
