Devdas & VeerZara. These two make me cry every single time I watch them. They remind me a lot of one of my relationships hence the crying lol. Both are about meeting the right person at the wrong time.

In Devdas I cry at the part where Devdas is carrying Paro off to be married to another guy & both are crying because they love each other but their families are at odds so they werent allowed to marry each other. Devdas then became an alcoholic due to the stress of being without his love & he started vomiting blood. In his sick health, he took a train to the city where Paro now lives with her new husband & he died infront of her gate. Paro is seen running to him but her husband ordered the guards to quicky close the gates...she came very close to him before the gates shut. Both actors are Scorpios irl, btw. ShahRuk Khan is a scorp with aqua moon, I'm not sure about Aishwaria's moon though.

In VeerZara I cry at the part where Zara is preparing for her engagement party & she starts hallucinating about Veer, her lover, not the guy she is about to marry. She never met Veer again until they were both very old & were being reunited at last. Very touching scene & song. Again its ShahRuk Khan, a scorp & Preity Zinta, an aqua.

OMG mine too.. its very heart breaking seeing a loved up couple not being able to be together.

My list would have to be

My sister's Keeper
The vow
The notebook
The time travellers wife
The Green Mile
Titanic

Bollywood
Veer Zaara
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Bhaag Milka Bhaag - Fantastic movie. The flash back scene when Milka is 7yr old and his father tells him to run and not look back, just keep running.. while he runs he ends up looking back and see's a man on a horse coming towards his father and cuts his head off. After that it shows the older Milka at the same place crying his heart out coz its revealed that his whole family was brutally killed.
Another scene is when he comes home and no one is around. He looked around and slips and falls on a pool of blood.. as he walks back he slips again and falls off the wall, hes stuck in a pile of bodies that are dumped.. he soo afraid that hes trying to get out but keeps slipping. Then for a moment he notices his mums hand and bursts out crying. That scene just hit me hard.

That sounds interesting, I think I'll watch this one.

Have you seen Tere Naam? That's another favourite of mine. The part that gets me in that movie is when Salman Khan's character escapes from a place for the mentally ill, he was not truly mentally ill but had a head injury & was mental for a short period. His GF went to visit him at the place but found him sleeping & then she left. He woke up & saw her leaving & started to call out her name but the noise excited all the crazy people & they started screaming...drowning his yells. Thats when he planned his escape.

His escape plan worked, but when he got to his GF's home he found a funeral..her funeral. She drank poison when she saw how he was at the "hospital". The end shows him going inside the van of the mental hospital, deciding to rather live his life as a crazy person than live without her in the outside world. Very touching movie.

The time travellers wife

I cried reading the book. I absolutely HATED the movie. Great story. Sad it was ruined.

Well the movie didn't allow the characters to fully develop so you can 1) understand & appreciate why Clare is so willing to wait for a man that isn't really there. Her childhood is actually the most significant part because it address this, yet it's given maybe 20 minutes in the movie. I'm guessing because they wouldn't sell very many tickets (Eric Bana and some 9 year old girl talking about how unhappy she is?)--it's completely platonic (up to a point), but it would probably look creepy on screen.

2) You don't fully appreciate the love they have for each other and why. There are a number of issues they experience (e.g. multiple miscarriages, searching for a cure to Henry's condition, seeing his death and his daughter when Clare wants to give up, their separation) that helps you understand why she holds on. After all this is called the "Time Travelers Wife".

3) The movie is out of sequence with the book I'm guessing to help the audience understand the storyline much better, because in all honesty the book is a bit confusing initially if you are not familiar with the principles of quantum mechanics. I mean it's suppose to be a love story, not a sci-fi movie so it makes sense they put less emphasis on that, but the sequence is important because again, it helps you understand why Clare is so committed to Henry. The novel doesn't get that deep into it, but it makes sense to the reader.

Some of my best quotes from the book:
"The best love is the kind that weakens the soul, that makes us reach for more. That plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds."

"Don't you think it's better to be extremely happy for a short while, even if you lose it, than to be just okay for your whole life?"

"Love the world and yourself in it, move through it as though it offers no resistance, as though the world is your natural element."

"Why is love intensified by absence?"

"There is only one page left to write on. I will fill it with words of only one syllable. I love. I have loved. I will love."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were coming or I'd have cleaned up a little more. My life, I mean, not just the apartment." ( I think this speak to some of the issues here on DXP lol)

'pocahontas' makes me cry, lol.

*smile*....Beauty and the Beast made me cry only because my friend died 5 days prior to me watching it for the first time. We were all really young when she passed, she was a year younger than I was. We just got back from a youth retreat, talking about some guy she was crushing on haaaard.

I didn't shed a tear when I heard the news, just said "okay" and didn't talk to anyone about it, not even my bf at that the time. I remember feeling very angry about the circumstances surrounding her death. I was home alone because my bf went to hang out with some of our mutual friends and I decided to watch Beauty and the Beast because we couldn't afford cable. I remember laughing at the appropriate parts and I was feeling "fine" until the scene when the Beast dies and Belle finally says "I love you". I bawled! It made me think about all of the things I didn't say to my friend before she passed.

My bf happened to come home just before the scene and he was ready for me, lol encouraging that ugly cry for what felt like hours. The only thing he said while he was holding me was "finally...."

Hmph....

Oh another one is Ransom When Mel Gibson threatens the guy on the phone to give back his son, and its a heated argument over the phone with all that tention.. the gun gets shot and the phone just drops.. Mel gibsons reaction and how his wife deal with that moment.. he curls up in the corner and cries his eye out.. that made me cry big time!

Trust Directed by David Schwimmer about a 13yr old girl who starts to have a relationship on the internet with a man she thought was her age ends up to be in his 30's. Rapes her and convinces her that they are in love. The pain her family and friends go through is horrible to watch because shes no innoccent that she thinks its love.

every time.. its like you emotionally get involved in the scene as if you can relate yourself to it.. its weird.. and sad thing is you cant even control it. lol
