What now?

A Scorpio man pursued me hard.. I said no at first and then decided why not have some fun. For 6 months he would make plans with me atleast once and week and sometimes call just to check in on me and see how my day was going. He told me about 3 months in that he has a lot going on in his life and doesn't trust anyone and won't be in a relationship for a long time but that he cares about my well being and we can continue to do what we were doing if I wanted to (have sex, cuddle, eat meals, run errands, watch movies.) He then went onto let me into his life and let me in on big secrets in his life. After another 3 months I realized how attached I had become to him and told him that I was an idiot and caught feelings for him and know that it's not what he wants... He said " well I certainly don't want to screw you over so I'm guessing this is for the best? Anyways, I had a lot of fun hanging out with you and I hope things turn out the way you want them to. We have a lot of the same friends so I'm sure we'll run into eachother at some point." I said it's not that I don't want to hangout with him I just know were not on the same page and I don't want to get hurt but that when I don't feel this way we should be friends. He responded "I'm sure we'll end up hanging out at some point. Guess I'll see ya when I see ya. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂"

So.... what now.....?? I am having a hard time letting it go. To the Scorpios out there, should I hold on to this feeling in hopes that when he's ready and his life is in order he will "run into me" at a friend's house or should I just completely let him go because he had 6 months to figure out if he wanted me or not (And realized he didnt)
