Why does a Scorpio man do this?

He likes to tease me a lot and is always playful with me. He jokes around with me, stares at me a lot and likes spending time with me. He sometimes tell what he's feeling. He would always ask me personal questions and listens to me when I feel the need to open up. He said he cares about me a lot and doesn't want people to say bad things about me. The problem is he's 11 years older than me and he told me yesterday that he personally won't date anyone more than 4 years younger than him. Does he see me as a kid? I mean I'm 20 and quite mature for my own age. I thought you must be special to a Scorpio and he feels comfortable around you enough and cares about you a lot for him to tease you and make you laugh...Why is he doing this to me then? It hurts me so bad because I started to like him a lot after he started approaching me and making me laugh, and he's showing all the signs that he likes me (according to all the websites and reference questions on them). Can someone please explain what's going on?

I am friendly/open to an extent with ppl I am not romantically interested in, but if he's doing all of that there's likely more to it. But since he mentioned it, I'd say the age difference cld b causing an issue for him. Ask him in a direct way. It's the only way to get a straight answer & to know for sure.

Being friendly, sharing, etc. doesn't mean a person is romantically inclined towards someone. I tease and joke and laugh with all sorts of friends and my family, but that doesn't mean we're all having a romantic connection.
