If long distance running is great for tone, why is body building only about lifting heavy?

You need to tear the muscle to make it rebuild, it varies.. a stronger build will lift more so that there is enough force to gradually rip the muscle, if you lift too heavy you can rip the muscle forcefully resulting in injury.

Sleeping is when repair happens, this makes the muscle grow to cope with the strain it has been under.
But with running theres no muscle tear but they have great muscles, toned.

Toned is just fat reduction.. does not equal strength, plus at lower body weight you may appear stronger because you handle your own weight much easier.

A lot is at play.

Some really big dudes are athletic, and others are not.

Mike Tyson, very fast mover, athletic, massive dude.

Muhammad Ali, not as big appearance as Tyson, equally as strong, equally as talented, very fast.

But they have developed and lean muscle...that's what you want isn't it? I understand it's complicated but bottom line is you want nice lean muscle ? I think l'm gonna lift light to medium weights hundreds of times.

And Tyson is a lot stronger than Ali ? He had more heavy weight lifting and training, but both had athletic training. And of course speed and technique.

Muhammad Ali was just too fast – Muhammad Ali fans have a love affair with his speed. Ali was very fast. The legend of his speed was magnified by the fact that most heavyweights of Tyson’s time were slow as molasses. He relied on his quickness and agility to avoid punches. Which means his defense was the boxing equivalent of Russian roulette. It was this game that led his face to be the pounding pad for thousands of well-placed punches. For all of his quickness and speed, Joe Frazier beat Ali within an inch of his life in their first encounter.

Mike Tyson would quickly knock Ali out – Mike Tyson fans have a love affair with Tyson’s power and intimidating persona. Mike Tyson made grown men quiver and scream. Mike Tyson’s intimidating ring entrance and ice-cold stare broke many opponents down. None of those men were Muhammad Ali. Ali withstood the thunderous hooks and uppercuts of George Foreman, Archie Moore, Joe Frazier, and Ken Norton without being knocked out. Sonny Liston was arguably a more intimidating boxer than Mike Tyson because of his mafia connections. Muhammad Ali made a mockery of him and embarrassed him twice.
Ali had Taurus Mars? I have this image of him throwing very strong hooks from time to time....it's the built up rage then....he has a lot of patience, dancing around and throwing jabs, and once in a while boom big hook. Taurus Mars builds up anger and then releases it with great force. That's interesting about Sonny Liston. Idk who would win btween Ali and Tys but l'd bet on Tyson. Peekaboo motherfucker ?

Did you write that long text? Or get it from a book? Tyson would kill any common mortal...coupla punches, bye.
