I've read through a few posts here and really enjoyed the posters and how helpful you all are. I'd love to... introduce myself and see if you can help me figure out this Taurus guy who is driving me bonkers.
I'm a Cancer. I met my Taurus through an interesting twist of fate a few days before valentines day. I posted a sarcastic personal ad out of boredom and he responded with platonic questions about my ad and we dove off into a whirlwind of an email exchange for two weeks. Very platonic and intellectual conversations. About the third week things started to get a little more personal after we realized the wealth of common ground we shared. The fourth week questions about sex snuck in and then this past fifth week it's been an amazing chemistry and banter back and forth.
But it's been five weeks and we've not met yet. He has said move than twice he wants to meet. Very encouraging with asking me to call and text him. But doesn't take the initiative to organize a date or meeting. He has said he feels the connection between us but then retreated back into a lack of comments on "us".
I would love to see this work out, I've never felt such a mental connection with someone and look forward to testing out the physical connection too. But I'm a total cancer female and when he retreats for a day or two without contact I notice and then wonder and finally worry. I'm so darn clingy. And I've told him as much, he actually responded with "So you're 'sticky', I like it."
But he's so back and forth and doesn't follow the "traditional" beginning dating traditions most of the men I've dated seem to follow. I don't want to be too forward or too persistent, but he always seems to be welcoming when I give him a little nudge.
Anyway. I'll stop there for now. 😉 Hopefully I'll be able to stick around and get to know some of you better and learn how to better deal with this guy and control my moody outbursts.
Oh, also, people mention that Taurus take awhile to made a decision about dating or committing to someone. What does that mean? 6 months? 2 years? I have a lot going on in my life so I'm (for once) not in a rush to get serious or involved but I also know after awhile I really need some verbal reassurance that we're both on the same page and working towards the same goal.
