Explain this Taurus....

that could definately be the case, but it also depends on how well he had coped with the problem to begin with (the depth of his pain) and how he currently feels about the situation (whether or not he's completely let go). tauruses don't let the past bring them down, but they also don't entirely forget about everything. as of this moment, i would probably guess that he may have a few trust issues that would cause him to put emotional restraints on himself.
however, you shouldn't worry too much about why he is a little hesitant toward you becuz it doesn't entirely concern you. it really has more to do with how he sees things at this time and the state that he is currently in. his prior experiences had caused him to be skeptical and has also led him to proceed with caution in everything -- that is all there is to it.
"Does he really care about me when he is opening up? I know that Taurus takes things very slow, but when is he going to catch on fire!"
i think that he does care for you in a way, but i can't give you a solid viewpoint on that yet, for i don't know enough about the whole story. however, i am confident that once he IS ready to trust again (you can sense his readiness with your piscean intuition lol), he will catch on fire and become truly devoted. you shouldn't try to push him, though, becuz tauruses are known to get stubborn when pressure hits.
you just have to be patient with him -- that is, if you are willing to wait long enough to find out what is really going on inside his head (i'm talking about delving into specifics, since you already know the basics). but if he does lighten up and decides to show you more of a passionate interest sooner, rather than later, then you can lead the way by initiating the spark.
but only when the time is right, of course. ;D
