flirting or just friendly?

I'm on the trail of a very sweet taurus boy and i think he might be aware of it. I've been putting myself out there and its pretty obvious.. He seems to be reciprocating but i can't tell if he's just being friendly or if there is a spark. Taurus seems a bit shy but is not turning down my advances and is being chatty.. we talked about family, pets, food and other common interests.. Is there something i can do to get a clearer notion of how he sees me without being too forward (aka: asking?) Also, is there some way telling whether a taurus is intentionally flirting or just being friendly? Taurus guys.. how do you usually interact in the beginning stages of liking someone?

They will start off friendly to everyone. If they didn't say anything to you directly I wouldn't take it as anything but flirting. It takes them a long while before they decide that you are the one.
