Astrology and Loneliness During Snowy Days

Astrology suggests that long winter days can influence feelings of loneliness, especially for those with certain zodiac signs. Sharing snow days with loved ones can boost emotional well-being, but many find comfort in astrology insights that help understand and manage these feelings better.

it has been snowing for almost two days now, but as much as i love snow it is days like this where i miss having a girl to share them with. It gets pretty lonely being cooped up in the house.

A good Chianti is never a bad thing. Hmmm. I'm trying to think if I have a true favorite. Zinfandels, Reislings, Merlots, fruitier types to round out the tannins. Do you like homemade types like blackberry, peach, raspberry and so on? Dandelion is quite surprising.
I think the only one I out and out did not like was a Greek wine called Retsina, it tasted like you had a pine tree in your mouth.

chianti is good, i like dry reds, the sangiovese has a dryness to it but has more of a fruity after taste.
as far as homemade goes elderberry is one of my favs, but if you make it i will drink it 🙂

i don't think i ever had retsina, i will have to try it.

That sounds really nice and one I'd like to try. I've made jelly of elderberries but not wine. So if you make toast I've got you pretty well covered. 🙂

I have a terrific way for you to try Retsina. Find a pine tree with resin on it, lick it. That's awfully close. 😄

my brother makes jam out of black raspberries, i might have to try and make wine out of them.

hold on let me go out back and try it.

LOL!! *tossing coat at you* I made all sorts of things into jam/jellies/preserves. Black raspberry is my fave, next is strawberry, then good concord grape. I also make green pepper jelly. You can add hot peppers or not, but it's a sweet and sour. That, some good crackers, a smear of cream cheese...all you need.

Heyyyyy yeh! 🙂 You already know. I make pickles, butters, spaghetti sauce, BBQ sauce, chili sauce. Ah shoot. If there's a garden, I'll put it up. I'm hoping my peach trees go bonkers this coming year. They did really well this past, but the fruit was small.

LOL!! No lobster, no crab in its shell, no shrimp with those pitiful lil' flippers and black bulgy eyes. *woogedie* Now I do like game. Venison, rabbit, squirrel, duck, goose, etc. Happy woman. But bring it over with the head gone, please and thank you.

No, I've never had it before, but doesn't sound like I will be anytime soon.
I'm partial to French, Chilean, Australian, Californian, and Washington wines. I prefer whites, Ros?'s and every now and then, I like to have a good, heady Cabernet or a scintillating Pinot Noir.

Food shows are great. I like Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsey, Paula Deen, Alton Brown. The only one that I don't care to watch is Bobby Flay. But I love cooking shows. And ones that center around food ( hmmm, does this count as a cliche? It might ).

I'm not a huge meat person. Don't get me wrong, I do eat it (mostly chicken, fish and turkey), but I was a vegetarian for several years when I was in high school, so I am not all over meat. A good steak is nice, every now and then.
I was at this lovely restaurant in France one time and had a wonderful rabbit dish. I think rabbit's are so cute, so it was difficult for me to enjoy it at first, but it was prepared so well that I couldn't help myself 🙂
*ahhhhhhh food *

I love Nigella, Ina, Gordon, and the other Italian lady with the nice rack, can't think of her name at the moment, but I have some of her cookbooks! Ack! Don't like Paula Dean's food (typically) although, she makes me laugh. Don't like Rachel Ray or Sandra Lee. Pretty much any of those "quick meal" people, are not my faves. I like people that can really cook. They don't have to have gone to any culinary school, but they need to know how to cook, and of course my ultimate boyfriend, Tyler Florence....umm, ummm, ummm. Yum, yum, give me some!

Hahahah! If you knew how many places out there make wine, trust me, this list is small! LOL! Plus, I narrowed it to primarily whites 🙂

Food is just spectacular. Can someone build a fire please? I'll go get the cinnamon buns I made and put on a pot of tea. Unless everyone would like to stick with the wine, then I'll hog the tea. Not a drop in the house here. Boooooo.

Eat the eyeballs—? What the hell? I think you were responding to VB! My cousin used to date a lot of Jamaicans, and they cooked fish with the heads attached, AND would eat the eyeballs too. It didn't bother me with the head attached (after I got used to it), but I was NOT eating any eyeballs. Sorry!

*Fires ablazin *
I'll take some of that tea and spike it with a lil sumthin' sumthin. Nothing better than a nice, hot toddy in front of a roaring fire place w/some nice... 😉

Rachel Ray and Sandra Dee I'd just like to slap upside the head a few times.

*sigh* I know c-man, but...but...they're looking at me.

Well, allegedly, Sandra Lee was having a "thing" with Gordon (not Ramsey). He's like the Executive Producer of a lot of those Food Network shows (or at least he used to be). Anyway, he was the big guy that would go around and cook at peoples homes with whatever they had on hand. I haven't seen that show in a long time, so it may not be on the air anymore. Anywhooo, that's allegedly how Sandra Lee got her own show, cause' goodness knows, her ass can't cook! And, she's not very nice. She frequents a high end culinary store in Santa Monica, and from what some of my friends have said, she's a b@ $ ch!

I don't read those sites, but one of my girlfriends does, and she said there was one post where the poster said in an episode where Sandra Lee was on the beach (which I saw that awful episode), she looked like a Mickey Mouse Whore. She had on some red & white awful outfit w/her boobs pressed up to the heavens and hanging out. That, in itself isn't a bad thing, but she had her hair in two pigtails on either side of her head. I'm like, "really lady?"
Semi-homemade my behind!
