Mercury in Taurus natives are plodders. They may take their time to arrive at a decision, but when they get there -- they are actually quite decisive, even stubborn with their opinions. Some may mistake the time they take over decisions for laziness, but look a little deeper and you will find that these people do think.

Mercury in Taurus men and women may be slow to start a new project, but they see it through to the end. You may need to poke them to get them going, however. They have much common sense at their disposal.

These people rely on their senses when it comes to processing information. Smells, noises, and mood are all employed. Their communication style may, at times, be slow and measured. You may get a sense that these people are quite deliberate in what they do.

There is a placid quality to Mercury in Taurus natives--when they speak, they are generally not bubbling or scattered. As a result, others really listen to them. They take them seriously. The practicality of the sign often shows up in a rather sarcastic manner, although Mercury in Taurus people have an overall pleasing manner of communicating. In fact, they can be quite funny with their "say it like it is" style .

Many people with this placement of Mercury have especially pleasant voices. The down-to-earth quality of Taurus often shows up in the speech, so it's unlikely that their expression will be flowery or affected. Instead, it's infused with a realistic tone that can be rather authoritative.

When it comes to learning, Mercury in Taurus prefers demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts. These natives learn best when they see real-world uses for the theories they're trying to absorb. Not that they wouldn't be able to comprehend the abstract--they simply process information better when they can personalize it (what use is it to me?) and attach it to the practical world. It's interesting to note that Taurus is a sign that naturally assesses things in terms of what they can do for them. With Mercury placed in the sign, information is processed, and either accepted or discarded, with this kind of "screening" process.

Well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this position of Mercury. These people have well-defined tastes, and these revolve very much around the world of the five senses. They have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and their ideas are often very practical and useful.

lol.. u donkey =p

now that i think about it, i really do take forever when making decisions. i really hadn't thought about how much i actually think, but it's true that my brain never sleeps. i'm always pondering about something, whether it be ideas or abstractions. that could possibly be why i don't usually regret what i might choose to do. even if i don't happen to like the outcome, i try not to dwell on the past, becuz i can't change what had ALREADY happened; i can only prepare myself for what COULD happen in the future.

or maybe, i just seem to want to live for tomorrow by focusing on the now. yep, that's a much better way of putting it.. lol.

my sagittarian rising does tend to make ppl think of me as dumb, though. it's weird cuz my body language is really scattered (i'm jumpy) and i use my hands a lot when talking (a few of my friends had pointed that out), but when i speak, i don't tend to get lost with my words. i mean, i may forget about what i'm actually trying to say and may end up going off topic most of the time, but i'm not really hard to understand. my friends always tease me for being a lost airhead, but they do seem to want to listen to me, at least.

i didn't really notice this when i was smaller, but how ppl see me when i don't speak and when i do speak are totally different. the perceptions i give off don't often go together, and it can be awfully frustrating at times. i've gotten quite irritated before, when ppl said that they see me as not being serious-minded. i do love a good debate, so i would just fight back when they say something that i disagree with (but something that's actually more important than the "how they see me" thing lol). i don't try to change their opinion, though - i just say what i have to say and then move on. it's better and fairer that way. one time, i got pissed at my friend when we were discussing the topic of religion. there was a crowd of our friends around us and everything seemed intense. i really wanted to state what was on my mind. i was freakin blunt as blunt could be - whew!~

i totally won, though, becuz i actually had a sound argument and also becuz i was the objective victim. he was trying to convert me, and boy did he lose. my other friends were watching and smiling cuz they wanted to see me go crazy over something SMART for once.. lol. or maybe they just wanted to see a good fight between a tough, whiz kid (him) and an innocent, smiley girl (me). i think they respect me at least SOMEWHAT now. or maybe not, i dunno. i don't tend to seem to know much, anyway.

i don't even know why i'm typing this. i always have a purpose when i start something - whether it be writing or doing something else - but then i would forget what i wanted to put across the table in the first place, and i end up being disatisfied with my end result. what is up with that?? maybe i should outline my intentions next time so that i don't stray away from what i'm really trying to verbalize. ughhhhh.

but ahh well. i already typed this much, so i might as well push the "Post Message" button and get it over with.

yep.. 1, 2, 3, 4 BAMMMMM!! (adios amigos)
