My reaction to a bad gift?? If its someone that I know WELL I'm usually Straightforward.."Ummm..Thanks but, you know I like (insert suggestion, or..another suggestion)..its your money, that will end up in my trash..jus sayin'. "

Dude I don't even lie so I have to get real creative with my responses.

I pretty much just emphasis my gratuity for them thinking of me. And even if its an obvious last min. thought then they at least took the time to feel bad for not getting you something.

But yeah its always the cheepie stuff that represents absolutely no sentimental value, that gets thrown into a box.. because I'm not sure what they expected me to do with it.

Dollar store body wash: "Yeah I'm not putting that on myself"

Dinky jewelry box made in Taiwan: "Dude the paint doesn't even line up with the figurine, so not going on a shelf of a virgo riser, it will drive me crazy."

Well we all know Taurus girls like their gifts...they mean so much...but then again we are down to earth and don't like to waste money on cheap things so it irks us to get gifts that are not thought out and personal. Flowers, cards, love notes mean more than some stupid expensive pair of gaudy earrings in my book...

nope. flowers, cards and love notes mean EXACTLY the same to me as a pair gaudy earrings. Impersonal and generic. Tasteless.

If you want to buy me something I will love, think of my hobbies.
Since I love reading, buy me books.
Since I love character, buy me secondhand books. I don't care if it's cheap.
What I dislike is someone buying me some random best seller because everyone says it's a must read. I don't give two shits if millions of people loved it; if by the first ten pages I'm not hooked, that thing will be gathering dust.

As far as getting those trashy earrings, I'd ironically wear them with the most god-awful outfit that would make your eyes want to vomit. That way, they get the message. Mean? Sure. But quite honestly I don't think I'd care.
OR...I'd use them creatively as a piece of ornament on a shelf somewhere, or frame them and put them on the wall. That option is nicer, I think.

+ 1 million best sellers mean nothing...hate following the hype. I think its better to tell the person, waste of money and kinda hurtful that they dont know what you like.

If a gift is obviously an afterthought . I smile, thank, ..re gift. I keep the sigh, eyeroll, head shake, etc. to myself.

Taurus folks are pretty easy. Give them a $ 25 gift card to their favorite food/coffee store. The End.
