Taurus and Aquarius - what's difficult here?

I have a hard time getting along with Aquarians. Those I know come across as know-it-alls trying to motivate me to change my whole life as they think I should live it. They're socially conscious but too much so for this Taurean.

Sometimes I just want to be plain old, self absorbed, lovable me concerned with the things Taureans care about most, famly, home, love,work, pleasure, beauty and pets. You get the idea.

What should I say to Aquarius that will not be offensive, but will get my point across? Is there some way I could actually to tolerate Aquas better? It's hard for two signs so different.

Your advice / experiences please.

Chart placements are the culprit haha. I swear because I meet alot of air signs. Which can be a challenge as I am earth fixed stellium. Haha.

Leave thy Aqua alone. M an Aqua and I find Taurus people to be what you described. I guess you should just let be and move on!

Yeah. This is what I feel. It's hard to deal with a friend so completely different in goals and ideals. Unless their Venus is in Pisces like mine and then we get along fine. But Aquas do challenge me. I like to be polite and see the best in people but the way an Aqua friend almost ignores my individuality makes me want to scream.

It's not that bad. She's a nice person and a loyal friend. She just has strong opinions which get to me sometimes.

Best way? statement of fact "I like it that way, its ME". An Aqua will want to always help you uh 'evolve', but not at the cost of your individualism. There is stubborn and then there is ' not open'. I'm sure some loudy bull *cough busysomethingorother* is gonna pipe in after this, but fixed signs operate in the same way which makes them relatable.

Or you can go the "I love that you always have good suggestions, but this one doesn't let me be me."

What !!!!!!!!!!!!! That's offense and I believe, despite opinions to the contrary, (which are in the minority BTW) it does not apply to me nor the many other Taureans on this board.

um you just described ME!!! self absorbed into my family and my comforts. 😆 😆

but i do like to read up on the news here and there so i'm not so hibernated. 😛

and part time with astrology!!! cause it's mysterious and otherworldly to me.

From my observations, they are pretty insecure and inconfident of themselves. An aquarius guy tried to ruin my project the last min because he wanted to mess my powerpoint slides up. Disgusting and unscrupulous if you ask me.

That has less to do with the sign and more to do with him being a dick.

I agree with Flo, just speak your mind to your friend. I think strong-willed people regardless of planets and signs can come across as aggressive to those not so strong-willed. I had a Leo sun friend of mine tell me that I have an intimidating presence I'm a Pisces sun (Aqua/Pisces cusp) and it shocked me I had no idea. It didn't effect me one way or the other, just made me aware. My point being that stereotypes projected onto a sign have a nothing to do with other things that influence personality.

If she doesn't respect your boundaries then perhaps it's a friendship you may want to reconsider.

Also, I live by this: if it don't apply let it fly. By nature, I'm dismissive, giving no thought or energy to what doesn't apply.
