What "lots of love" mean to a T man?

When he writes it in a card?
Is it just a mere formality or there is really some kind of love there somewhere?

He says GF I say FWB. The understanding is that we are exclusive but it's a LDR. Communication has been a challenge since he's going through a hard time with work and money and not feeling stable.
He sent a Xmas card along with some goodies wishing me a merry Xmas, New year, blah blah blah...."look forward to seeing you soon, lots of love "

I think it's a general greeting! I do this quite often.

I agree. I do this all the time too, with family and friends. It doesn't mean anything special. I'd write "all my love always" to a SO. But I'm a Tau. Female. The men may look at this differently.

That email is full of inside jokes so ppl won't get it....
Maybe I can post some extracts and follow up with his verbal answer when in a mood to revisit the past.
Trying to be in the present to avoid going crazy.

The email changed things…it made him have an honest and open conversation with me and he showed vulnerability (admitted crying) and told me stuff that I know was difficult for him to admit and confess (mistakes, judgement errors, wrong decisions - all related to WORK - leading to financial troubles and possible difficulty to future earnings…). He had to put his pride aside and he was quite honest in admitting that at this particular moment in his life, things changed so drastically since he met me that he is not in the position to offer more.

So I think he was very clear. He mentioned that we will pick it up where we left sometime in the future. I agreed at the time but now I realised I can't do it. Is not that I don't want to, I just can't.

No, we never said we love one another.
