AHS Freak Show

Any American Horror Show fans up in dis muh? If you caught tonight's premiere of Freak Show what are your thoughts so far?

I know it's still new and I'm not going to spoil it for anyone in case people have it DVR'd but I think it looks like it'll be interesting.

Still so far out of all the AHS series my favourite is still Asylum, but we shall see how this season goes. I love me some Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett. Oh and Kathy Bates ... though her accent reminded me a bit of Romy's from 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' when she'd pronounce certain words.

Oops ... meant *Story not Show :p Guess the Show part in Freak Show threw my tired brain off. 😄 Lol

I liked the show. Seems promising.

Only complaint I had was the background music was a little too loud and was drowing out the voices. I had to concentrate to hear what was being said. Then again, maybe my age is catching up to me. lol!

Yeah it does seem promising. I know it's only the first episode but I think I will like it. I have liked all the others so far.

As for the background music, I know what you mean. I dislike when some scenes have the music playing louder while the character is speaking in a lower tone.

So it's not our age ... it's the editing! 😄

I'm loving the Marlene Dietrich vibe Jessica Lange as Elsa gives in some scenes. It is a good show so far. 🙂

This week showed some of the back story. Loved it!

This season has been a slow burn for me. I'm not immediately hooked

as I was season 2 Asylum and season 3 Coven. I did enjoy this past

episode with everyones back story. Elsa Mars's back story was pretty

gnarly. I felt bad for the clown Twisty.

I'm normally addicted, but I haven't watched the last three episodes. I have some catching up to do.

Right? He is hot, and I usually don't like guys who are younger than 30 LOL!

He is not younger than thirty. The character might be 25 but the actor is 30. I just looked it up cause I was thinking there's no way in hell that guy is under 30.

I am too attracted or repelled by personality so his physicality does nothing for me juxtaposed with his man-child whining in the show

He looks good for being 30. I thought Edward Mordrake was hot as long as he didn't turn his head. Lol 😛

Honestly, I'm not really feeling this season of AHS as much as I did the others in the past. I'm so not feeling the singing scenes. The only one I liked was the Gods and Monsters rendition.

I think the character Dandy is probably the only interesting thing about this season at this point. I know it seems wrong but I did laugh when Dandy got Paul kicked out of that Drug store because he was being nosy. "He's not even American" Lol Dandy is such an ass.

I'm a fan overall, but the best season so far has been The Coven. Next would be the Asylum and on from there. Freak Show....it had so much promise, but it's just "eh" for me.

Coven is the best..

Asylum is my personal fav. I hope the next season is good. This season had some good moments but I will say Asylum (my fav) and Coven had more exciting moments where you were anxious to see what will happen next episode.

Coven was good because they had Stevie from Fleetwood Mac. Awesome..and well I haven't seen freak show can't wait. I think this is the last season for Jessica Lange to play ahs..I hope not there is a season 5 coming out too.

No horror in this season really.. Lots of character development though. Honestly I watched every episode but was a bit bored with the storyline. Hopefully next season is now enjoyable. The ending wasn't grand either but I wasn't expecting much with a floppy season. It was really promising in the beginning with the two clowns after that if was just dandy. I think the point was to make the freaks more normal and the "normal" people are actually just as much of a freak. Anyway overall yeah it was a solid season.
