Back to the drawing board...

so i have received the new drawing set and sketch pad i ordered and it feels nice to experiment again. its been too long really. here is my first attempt. while i can list a number of flaws, I'm letting it be finished as a first run. it's my mom's eye. she had beautiful, emotion-filled eyes... cancer moon ? heres one anyway lol this is sadly as clear as i could get my phone cam to take ?

^ I never took a picture of the final product. I didn't know any better in highschool.

i prefer black and white really but i hope to expand to maybe oil pastels or something later down the line when i have the studio and money for it. id like to experiment with watercolor again too as i watercolored the background of some very nice calligraphy pieces in high school. very neat tho!

i love seeing my friend's art. i have a lot of artistic friends in the dispensary i work at. i didnt even know how talented these people were bc i dont have social media. i think it's nicer when they personally reveal their work tho. the feelings are great... im just AMAZED at the artistic capability of a scorpio guy my age that works with me. his work is completely different of course lol. very surreal yet inventive and meaningful. great composition... yeah just blown away.

ive been feeling a strong urge to create lately and its been nice using mom for a muse. dont know why i never thought of it before lol.

This ..i cannot tell you for me this is like some kind of icon.....this ..i did this....i felt touched.....I still have to come to understand the spirituality and ideas behind this picture they are peculating in my mind from another place and have been with me since i was a child.....it's profoundly moving to me....if you know me very very very well...this image will mean something ....or you will know more...

very cool! i will be working on honing in on my abstract ability soon. im best at realistic art but its difficult for me to portray most of whats in my head. ill be exploring putting it on paper soon. i dig the black paper with white highlights. always looks surreal...
