well i thought i'd make a topic from what i saw of the Cave man forum.

So, ladies, you want your men intelligent or mediocre?

what type of intelligence are you looking for?

does it matter if he's average intellect? As long as he's a good man and he's good to you?

I like my men to be at least higher than average in the intelligence department.. Whether they're book smart or not doesn't really matter. A guy that is knowledgable without being patronising about it can go from 0 to 10 real quick.

Actually, I don't know if average or higher than average. As long as we're on par..it's all good.

I want country intelligence with a touch of the intellectual side.

What I mean by country intelligence is someone who can fix things, engineer things, build things, work on an engine, hunt down and process some wild game.....then, be able to watch politics and debate issues for fun.

Someone that has the wit and intelligence to make me laugh, hold a conversation, laugh at the dumb shit we can/will do, laugh at himself/laugh with me at myself.... basically someone that just gets that life is too short to worry about bullshit and rolls with whatever comes.

A true mental connection is everything and if a man can do that, he can maybe get into my pants...😛

not many men have this, i have to honestly say. they lack alot of EQ. but there are plenty who still do. also, something very good:

despite high intelligence, i honestly like it when a man is STRONGER than i am...(not physically....that's not what i mean. I mean...just a STRONG person. Not necessarily one with muscles... Cant explain it. Hard to describe what i mean.)

I can fix a computer, write a song, manage a home buying, remodeling, and selling business, efficiently lay tile, wood, carpet, walls, and paint, kill wild game, gut, skin, and butcher food, only using a bow as a weapon, catch fish efficiently with fake bait, cover, uncover, and keep a swimming pool clean for the season, and fix it if needed, fix minor things on a vehicle, and love keeping things organized and clean.

The problem is only the stupid are breeding. I rather be alone 😉

oh my god. lol 😆 my husband can do all those things. except he's not a fisherman though. but he can do a house top to bottom, and be at the office the next day. Rawr!!!!

ands a woman should be able to put food on the table by herself. no woman needs a man for basic things like paying bills and buying food. what a woman needs from a man (or another woman in my case) can't be bought with money. i know men like to focus on money because it's something that they feel they can control. but if you're the type that goes after a woman who needs you financially you get what you deserve. 🙂

well my grandmother married a taurus, and she gave him lots of babies and depended on him financially.

but she was and has always been a good woman, moral and strong. he was lucky he had her.

that was a different generation lisabeth. women were expected to be dependent on men back then. that's not the case anymore. things have changed a lot since our grandparents were getting married.

i personally see nothing wrong wrong with a woman staying home taking care of the kids. but that is a WANT not a need, now.

women still do it, but sadly, this is changing, as men are the ones NOW that are the stay at home dads.

women are becoming the power players in the world. Which is fine. That's their choice though.

plus, you have to remember it is dependent on the dynamics of the relationship and between the man and woman.

It's NOT for everyone. As i can see some of the women here disapprove. I'll always clash with them in this aspect and that's fine. we just have different routes in life. You go your way and find your way with your type of man (or woman) and leave the ones who enjoy traditions.

my grandmother worked. along with my grandfather. i don't know about my great grandmother. i don't know much about her. in my world a woman always takes care of herself financially. i realize that a lot of women have stayed at home. i feel nothing is wrong with that. or a man staying at home if his wife makes more money. it just needs to work for both people involved. what other people think about it doesn't really matter.

i get what you mean.

I read that article on alpha women going after beta men, because beta men will APPRECIATE them and these beta men quit their jobs to stay home and take care of the children and take care of the home.

A beta man is NOT threatened by an alpha woman. that is something that is interesting to note. No matter what. There are just men in the world, and SAME with women who will always compete and want to be the top dog. It's just how they are wired.

personally my husband wouldnt be threatened by me if i worked, but i prefer a low notch type of job.
I'm not ambitious like he is. Some people are just wired differently in that way, as i'm quite sensitive to the ways of the business world (ruthless) I get very stressed easily so i need more peace.

Intelligence is extremely important to me. I gravitate toward the creative/inventor/impossible types.

Intelligence is not only a huge turn on but an absolute necessity for me to have any romantic interest.

I'm very slightly above average intelligence which isn't much to brag about really but it does honestly limit the number of men that will ever interest me.

My current lover is absolutely brilliant and really good with his hands (fixing things).

Really blue collar kinda guy who just happens to also understand string theory.

i so AGREE with you two. +100000 ladies!! It does LIMIT. I also need emotional intelligence too. A BALANCE of both, an emotionally strong man with the strength of his mind too. It's hard to find, and i'm sure PLENTY of them are just as PICKY and CHOOSY as well. I don't blame them either.

the creative imaginative types, ohhhh boy! it's like firecracker! every day is a new day! even if we're both homebodies.

for me, even reading from my posts. it's so true i need a more playful, loving man. His leo moon is indeed playful and loving!! 😆 so our energies mesh so well. love that. and when he's super serious....you will know it! I don't like being down in the dumps all the time. I'm already like that when I watch a sad movie. or when i go back in time remembering sad/traumatic events. I need to get back up and look forward to the future. plus, hubby doesn't like down in the dumps all the time either. It's as if he's serious, then playful when he is inspired.

you gotta go look into your partner's charts and energies and mixes and what makes both of you very well together.

also, sexual compatibility is a must. you know, when you touch your man or woman, and go ZING! why is it every freaking time, it's yummy!! ^__^

As long as you know how to treat a person and you take care of yourself and business. Includes having kids and marriage..

I need some intelligence. Because I get stuck in routine. And feel Gemini and Sagittarius and Aquarius males are way too intelligent to my liking.. It's good for advice though. Whenever I need air or mutable signs you guys are smarter.

I feel if you are smarter than me. You turn cocky and arrogant and critical. And no matter what I speak on you won't listen either.

So mediocre and average IQ 130 and above.

Earth signs know how to be independent because we have all been through some form of shit in our lives.. and we can work really hard at a what we want. So much time flies.

And we don't want drama and people messing up.. a relationship takes alot of time and energy from me.

So gotta snag a guy who has the same morals and value in family roles.
Both my parents worked full time job.. I grew up wanting to be an adult really young.

It would be nice to find someone to go half on everything including rent or bills. I am a Taurus you know.. deep down I want to find someone who's been through the same situation as I. Cause they know what it takes to be independent and hard working for a stable environment.


Now everyone I know at work has a job or two of course.. mediocre pay and I am still happy working and supporting myself.

They always tell me to get with a doctor.. but I say hell no. There are even more egotistical, selfish, and rude.. or just find a good guy. But that's hard when I don't look.

Whether or not staying home with kids man Idk..post partum depression, lose my independence, or lose my own money while my lover is working really hard to support the family. But I am a breadwinner too. So it's something to talk about.

Oh but I do need a guy would is a handy man and can grill.. ill do the side orders. And side jobs in the household. Lol

Should be true for all of us. I like jack of all trades types.

I like: intellectual, witty/good sense of humor, in touch with his feelings/able to read my moods (not so that he can manipulate me, but so that he knows what I need at that moment), being able to converse freely about any topic under the sun (and always willing to learn more). I don't really care if he's able to do handy-man or mechanic work. I don't know how to do that stuff, and I prefer when someone isn't much more competent than me in certain areas. I want us to be on similar grounding when it comes to intelligence, skill-sets, etc.

I like creativity, imagination, open-mindedness. I'd preferably want someone who is naturally peaceable and doesn't actively seek conflict or cause drama, but clearly expresses themselves whenever they have an issue. (That is, no passive aggressive maneuvers.)

Oh, and I want to be their one and only. I don't like when my guy has close female friends, and I greatly dislike when a guy will flirt with other girls, particularly in your presence. So yeah, no flirty types, no players, etc. What I want is a strong yet vulnerable, intelligent, honest, humorous guy with a good heart who adores me (and only me), and treats me kindly and fairly, and acts towards everyone else with the same respect and decency.

Hmm. I wonder what kind of chart would fulfill this criteria...
