I reference this quote very often. Most recently to a male friend who didnt understand why his sister can't "get over" her rape seven years ago and why she doesnt trust men.
What a disgusting attitude to have towards something so traumatic. Never mind it's his own sister.
Male privileged is real. The fact that he doesn't understand the magnitude of rapes is very telling of how he doesn't live in a world where it happens to men as much.
