Many Virgos seem to be quite intelligent. But are you the most intelligent sign of the zodiac?Who knows? To make such a broad and sweeping statement would imply a level of both cultural and astrological omniscience that in reality no one possesses. Plus, there have never been conclusive, large-scale studies that would support this assertion.
And as aforementioned in this thread- there are different types of intelligence. "Book smarts" are the most easily cultivated of the intelligences, as anyone who seriously applies themselves will most likely do well in this arena (barring a learning disability or similar affliction, of course).
I'm a Sag- often stereotyped as the "partier" and waste-caste of the zodiac- and I rocked an A average in university. I've noticed other Saggies I've interacted with are also intelligent. Does that make US the smartest? Once again: Who knows? Aquarians have the highest number of inventors and great thinkers in their population. Does that make THEM the most intelligent? Who knows?
But even if Virgos are the most intelligent (and I'm not saying this is the case), why would you feel the need to broadcast this to everyone? Are ego-strokes that important to a Virgo? I wasn't aware that Virgos require consistent flattery in order to feel useful, but observing this forum has made me question otherwise.

Wtf? First, I can create whatever topic I please and if it's "are virgos the greatest of all time?" so be it. Remember, this is the virgo forum and it is our right to put out whatever topics we desire. You people kill me coming in here getting your panties all in a bunch just because of a question. Did you not read my initial post in its entirety? I actually stated that I have heard/read that virgos are considered to be the most intelligent and wanted to put out the question to see what fellow virgos thought. Although I have read this a-plenty in astrology books and have heard this been said a-plenty by other signs, I thought I would lay the question on the table to hopefully be enlightened about 'intelligence' in general, and so far, the virgos on this board have not let me down. I don't understand what the fuck we are supposed to post on these boards if everyone is going

Hi Candeh,I have been a regular contributor to this site since 2006, so I have had the chance to observe the dynamics of all the sign forums for nearly four years.
In the last 1.5-2 years, there has been an influx of Virgo individuals (mostly male) who REGULARLY make threads/posts that either proclaim outright or imply subtly that "HEY, WE [Virgos] ARE THE SMARTEST, THE BEST, AND THE MOST MAGNIFICENT OF ALL THE SIGNS!". Many of them then attempt to "prove" why this is the case, which usually involves bashing other signs and proclaiming their own supremacy.
Some of these people even have the audacity to state that they alone are the best, due to various contributory factors. Now whether or not they do this in jest is inconsequential, especially when it is basically ALL that they say, in a broken-record fashion. The only other forum that even comes close to the Virgo in terms of consistent bragging and self-ego-stroking is the Scorpio forum.
I don't know, but I've always felt that self-assured individuals with knowledge of self would have no need to constantly toot their own horns.
But perhaps I am wrong? After all, I am just human, and I have no claims of being infallible. I wonder if some of the individuals on this forum could (and WOULD) say the same thing.

Cosign. They're always policing the virgo board...has it always been this way? It's like everyone wants to tell the virgos what to do and what not to do on their board...what's up with that?
I feel like everyone's panties have been up in a bunch. But, I get where you where you are coming from Parfait. The only reason for our attitudes at this moment is that it feels like everyone has been attacking the virgos, lately.
Anyway, it's funny that I just realized that I never remembered seeing virgos being "the most intelligent" when it came to their description. Maybe once or twice. What I DO remember is that virgos are the ones that pay the most attention to detail and are the most analytical, meaning we can solve problems and get down to the very core of the issue when we approach it. In academics, this is a good thing. This could be misconstrued as "intelligence over all."
Which I don't believe, but I've always said my thing about intelligence.
