Conversation with virgo friend last night

we were talking about his ex who is now living out of state and pregnant. After 2 years of not really speaking they have recently reconnected. I asked him about their relationship and he says the only issue with this girl is that he wasn't satisfied with her looks, he said she was a good girl, would make a good wife and she was cute but! what he said was that in order for him to think long term for a girl she has to be thought of as a "dime" by people in general. I said to him do you know how shallow that is? He and I are opposites because I'm the the kind of girl who finds the most unusual things in a person beautiful and I tried to explain to him maybe this is why you don't have lasting relationships. Another one of his ex's, I knew her she was pretty but eh not so smart in my book, he said the main reason why he satyed with her so long is because she was great to look at. Wow is all I could say because I know he had to know she wasn't very smart.
