To Tell The Truth--Astrology Edition

Okay--first off (even though I sense it's going to happen somewhere...) this thread is NOT intended to produce drama.

There...I feel better after adding a disclaimer.

Now, to the topic I had in mind: How do you REALLY feel about all the astrological signs out there?

You can break it up by pros and cons
You can break it up by male and female
You can break it up by how you felt about them when you were younger, and/or older
Whatever floats your boat

Feel free to go into detail

And, you don't need to be a Virgo to participate.

On your mark...get set...go!

To be fair, I'll start off.

Aquarius: I've had crushes on and relationships with this sign, but they don't seem to be too serious about relationships. I definitely have used the word "commitmophobe" often to describe them. They remind me a lot of Pisces in that sense, and also in their heads-in-the-clouds way of dealing with life. They are hard workers (also a trait that reminds me of Pisces) but aren't SMART workers (meaning, they'll overwork themselves to death, and have nothing but back pains, headaches, and an empty wallet to show for it, afterwards. A "Smart Worker" will find a way to minimize injury [perhaps asking for help from others], minimize hours and still find a way to get paid as if their hours were still full-time, and would find a way to save money for a rainy day, so as not to continually be broke). They're sweet-seeming though, never really got into it with one.

Capricorns: I really love Caps 🙂 I have a sister-in-law who's a Cap, and I can talk with her for hours. I also dated Caps, and they are so interesting to me! We have the deepest conversations, and they are a great pick-me-up when you're down. When the rest of the world is telling you "you can't" Caps are the ones saying "F.UCK the world, SURE you can!" They remind me of Virgos, being an analytical sign and all. I genuinely enjoy their company. Also never got into it with one.

Pisces: I think Pisces men are very attractive...that's how they GETCHA. They usually have very light eyes, absolutely dreamy gazes, always appear to me as if they've just orgasmed, and are in the smoking-a-cig-after stage...just very relaxed and flirty. They have those bedroom eyes that hypnotize you, and want to make you take off all your clothes and do a lapdance just to keep that lustful air about them and around you. They (both the males and the females) give off an air of vulnerability to me...I always feel the need to reach out to them, and let them know I'm here if they need me...and for a Virgo to approach you and offer help...yeah...we must really care about you. I've tried to analyze Pisces, create sense out of their method(s) of madness...and it's not possible. Pisces just seems to be too much of a changeable sign, and can be somebody totally different at noon than they were at 9am, and will be at 8pm--it's frustrating. They tend to take your hand, and soothe your fears and hesitation with sweet words and soft caresses, lead you into the middle of your deepest and most surreal fantasy, convince you that this fantasy can be yours and theirs forever and ever, and just as you start to believe them--as you start to open yourself up to the possibility that it COULD happen and be this wonderful for eternity, you turn your head to look around and take in all the beauty around you, and when you turn back to the spot where fishy was...you find they've disappeared. You try not to make a big deal of it, especially if you're a Virgo--because we tend to retreat as well (we ARE represented by the "Hermit" tarot card, after all) but this isn't a retreat...this is just a Houdini disappearing act...and you have no clue when they'll pop back up to soothe your growing fear that you've been led astray.

Your dreamworld slowly starts to become a prison around you, your fantasies there a nightmare, and you find it all slipping away like watercolor on a canvas left out in the rain...until you're back to reality--bitter, hard, cold reality. You take a deep breath, blame yourself, analyze, overanalyze, reminisce, run from nightmares--all the while hoping your fish will come back. Perhaps you reach out to him, perhaps you wait for him to reach out to you...in the end, you realize how much time you've lost, and how much pain you've been left to deal with. You retreat to mope, to swear "never again", and somehow you find the strength to go on...only to find that just as you return to the life you once knew, fishy's back, with smiles and an outstretched hand, to repeat the torture yet again. This is basically how I feel about the males, and is why I would rather never date another. I've dated more Pisces than I care to recall, and have always been disappointed that they seemed to follow the rush of water downstream, and never fight against the current. They seem constantly depressed OR deleriously happy--always an extreme; either too hot or too cold, seem very interested in sex and anything relating to sex (foreplay is a treat for them, as they love to indulge in roleplay, and costumes, etc.), and while the sign is supposedly not known to sleep around, they sure as hell do--and the worst type of women: gold-diggers, cheaters, married women, whores, chicks they meet in bars...they seem to run from women who are established in life, women who know what they want (marriage, and children importantly), women who don't hang out in bars and clubs, women who have no need to be gold-diggers, because they make their own money, women who will not put up with disappearing acts, and excuses for a week without phone calls. As for the females, I tend to be drawn to their sweetness, but find that they share a lot of qualities of their male counterparts--the ability to lead you on a bit, and then just disappear. When they're sweet, they're incredibly loving. When they're bitter, they're disgusting. Once again, it's either hot or cold with a Pisces, male or female. They have a great sense of humor, contagious happy-go-lucky moments, cool to talk to...but not my choice for relationships in any way.

So, this is about Pisces, then ... you may have "said" it was for all, but, that's not the reality is it?

You mention two other signs, speaking of only facts that you've experienced .. and those were very brief .. I guess this was to set the false impression of "all" ... because then you go on for two entire posts in expressing feelings in reference to Pisces.

So, in reality, when you put that disclaimer up .. it's because you already calculated the outcome of your creation.

Aries: Not a fan, lol. Sorry, but yeah. No. Maybe it's because my little brother (who I wanted my mother to take back, when she brought him home from the hospital) is an Aries? They just frustrate me, and have a snobby air that pretty much tends to leave them alone in their imaginary kingdom. I can never just have a normal conversation with one, they've either got to brag, or make a mockery of something that's serious to you. I tend to stay away. I'll give them this, though--they are great comedians 🙂

Taurus: One of my least favorite signs. Once again, could be because my mother is one, and we had a horrible relationship when I was a child. Way too harsh with their words (even harsher with their hands!) sarcastic in a "that's not funny, that's just rude, you b.itch" kind of way, ditzy-seeming, gossip-adoring. They tend to push people away with all of that, and then whine when they're left all alone. Very loud sign too--remind me of Leo in that way--even their laughter is loud (my mother's laughter was like Roseanne Barr's at the intro of her show--head thrown back, eyes closed, and ear-splitting guffaws and all). At their best, the females are very devoted (to work, friendships, etc.) but ONLY if things can be THEIR way, otherwise, no dice. Them Taurean men though? H-O-T. If you're ever looking for a good lover, Taurus is the way to go, lmfao. They love to please you, and will start things out with a wonderful dinner that, chances are, they'll prepare themselves (Taureans are GREAAAAAT cooks!!!!!), and follow that up with mindblowing bouts of foreplay, before making mad passionate love to you. Yes, thank you. I wouldn't mind a Taurus husband. Supposedly male Virgo/female Taurus and female Virgo/male Taurus is a great match, but my mother (Taurus) and stepfather (Virgo) prove otherwise to me...I dunno.

Cancers: Remind me a lot of Pisces, but in a more aggressive way. I've had Cancer stalkers, not fun, lol. They will blaze up your cellphone, at all hours of the day and night. Very VERY sexual sign, I have to admit the sex is great, but they're too emotional for me--I've had Cancer men call me up crying over commercials that remind them of something from their past, or cry in my arms about some passing comment someone said to them...I'm not good with that, lol. Babies and children crying, I am quick to soothe, grown men crying...not so much. I have great conversations with them though (just like with Pisces) and I love that they seem more committed than Pisces, but they also have a bad tendency to cheat. They will always come back home to their partners afterwards, though. A sign that seems to be a "do as I say, not as I do" sign. Like Pisces, I tend to shy away from friendships with them.

Gemini: Never really had good dealings with them--but I'll be fair, I haven't met/known many. The ones I did know were very Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde, and yeah...no thanks.

Leo: I LOVE LEOS! 🙂 Well, moreso the females than the males, lmfao. The males are way too scary for me--I have an older brother, for example, who acts like a lot of Leo guys I've met; very loud, hands-on (and not in a good way at all), destructive (with words, with physical violence). I can't imagine ever dating a Leo, let alone marrying one. They are funny as all hell though, lmfao. You STAY laughing around a Leo...when they're in a good mood. When they're in a bad mood? RUN! The females are some of my best friends though, they are so fiercly loyal and devoted, true friends--no hidden agendas. I do love that about Leos though, no secrets--what you see is what you get. I love how bold they are (being a shy sign, I yearn for at least 20% of that boldness, lol) and I also love how they tend to look like their sign--big hair that surrounds their determined faces like a lion's mane, strong noses, and steady gazes that follow you everywhere you go, LOL! I love it 🙂

Virgos: LOL *shields self* I usually don't get along with them. I think I see qualities in them that tend to scare me (I often wonder "am I like that??! Oh God, I hope I'm not, and if I am not that bad!!") I always feel a hidden agenda when I'm dealing with one--the ones I know only appear when they need me, never just to say hello, only when they're down and out and they need cheering up. While I love cheering people up, I don't tolerate being used. I have this one Virgo who appears twice a year to get 6 month tarot readings from me, and doesn't even try to be subtle about it--it's just so obvious that she'll show up in June/July and then again in December/Jan. She'll pretend to be interested in how I'm doing, and then turn the conversation into her problems and woes, until I'm like "...yeah, so you need a reading..." No shame in using either, I really hope I'm not like that--I always try to give as much as I take. My stepfather, as I mentioned, is a Virgo, and I always said as a little girl that I'd rather slit my own wrists than to marry one, if he was any indication of a typical Virgo male. I've heard the stories of Virgin males acting like Pisces males (players, deceivers, disappearing acts, etc.) but thankfully they've been stories I've HEARD, and not TOLD, as I've only ever had a crush on ONE Virgo man...and he was too old for me/I was too young for anything to materialize (thank God, as it took him 12 years to finally marry the woman he was living with--dear God!) They're entertaining though, I do enjoy the sarcastic sense of humor that I also share. Never met one that was a neatfreak though. Hard workers, good parents, but yeah--I tend to just feel I can't get along with them too well for too long.

Aries: (Negative) - stubborn, tactless, the baby of the zodiac
Aries: (Positive) - leadership, optimistic spirit

Taurus: (Negative) - extremely stubborn; (Positive) - not much!

Gemini: (Negative) - glib, flighty, calculating; (Positive) - social, upbeat

Cancer - don't know many

Leos: (Negative) - extremely proud, condescending, self-serving, easily flattered
Leos: (Positive) - leadership

Virgos: (Negative) - hypercritical, obsessively perfectionist
Virgos: (Positive) - efficient, good advisors

Libras: (Negative) - fake, manipulative, superficial, not prone to depth
Libras: (Positive) - persuasive, inclined to beauty

Scorpio - won't toot my horn 😛

Sagittaurus: (Negative) - none (!); (Positive) - free spirited, loves adventure, generally happy

Capricorn: (Negative) - overdiplomatic, self-serving, money/career-oriented
Capricorn: (Positive) - friendly, great compassion

Aquarius: don't know many

Pisces: (Negative) - smothering, very emotional, at times irrational
Pisces: (Positive) - unparalleled emotional depth and compassion

Libras: Gossipers. Tend to lash out at people, and then holler when hit back. Loud, abrasive, I don't known many, but the ones I've met/know I don't get along with.

Scorpios: My father and best friend of 21 years were born on the same Scorpion day--Halloween! I think because I have a rising in Scorp, I tend to get the sign--even though others say they're frustrating. I do see where the frustrations manifest in their dealings with others, but I can still understand their mindset (I don't always agree with it, but I understand it). I think this is the most sarcastic sign of the zodiac, LMFAO! But their sarcasm is ridiculously hilarious. They are prone to smirk at you while you're hopping up and down, angry as hell in front of them (I do this too, lmfao, damn my rising!) But when you do get them angry, all hell can break loose. Very devoted though, no matter how many fights I've had with my bestie, he and I have always worked things out. They do have a bad habit of joking about matters that are pretty serious to you (my friend made a joke about a Virgo friend's Pisces husband committing suicide a la gunshot through the mouth, in their parking garage...he said something to the effect of how hard it was going to be to explain to the people who next owned the car what all the stains and chunks left between the seats were, which I didn't appreciate at all), but when they're in the same situation (he recently had a friend's sibling that he knew well commit suicide, and he took it quite hard, and used that time to apologize to me about his heartless joke so long ago, not that he knew how I was feeling) they tend to sympathize. Also, they're VERY hands on--being a Virgo I'm not a touchy sign at all, but Scorpios love to hug, and squeeze, and lean on, and lay on, and poke, and prod, lol. It's cute though.

Sagitarius: I've heard negative things about them, but can't really say whether I agree or disagree, as I haven't met too many of them. The ones I met were very happy-go-lucky though, but self-destructive; tend to fall for partners that kill that spark in them, tend to try to escape reality by wearing blinders, etc. Indifferent towards this sign though.

And, to add a new disclaimer--if you're so sensitive that you're going to get hurt by what OTHERS think of your sign, please do yourself a favor and don't return to this thread. You're not always going to be loved and adored by people--I've heard enough s.hit about Virgos to last a lifetime, but I'm not committing hara kiri on a damn sword, so please spare me your dramatics, please.

If you're that sensitive about your sign, you need to stay the f away from astrology sites, as far as I'm concerned.

Life isn't always a box of chocolates. Sometimes it's a bag of dogshi.t. Deal or gtfo.

I have dated a Libra, 2 Scorpios, 1 Aries and 1 Sag.

I want to date VIRGETTES, Capricorns, Cancers and Leos.

I am trying to date a Taurus.

I'm iffy about Geminis, Aquarius.
