What is bitter sweet really?

It's about perspective I think, most of the time.

Like ordering a hot dog and the guy puts on mustard even after you asked him not too.
You still eat the hot dog, but you can't help but wonder how much more you could have been enjoying it, if the mustard was never put there.

I believe generally most people only think it's greener because they have become too familiar with what they have when the novelty has been lost.
