Why would it matter?

I was at an event and my virgo friend started to text me and asked how it was. I told him great, wished he could be there because he would enjoy it. Then through out the night when I would go any length of time without texting him he would randomly send me a text every so often just saying "haha" or something stupid. I would respond, then when I told him we were going to eat he made a comment about how late it was to be eating and asked me who I was with.....we have no mutual friends at all so i found it odd. I told him who I was with and then he text me " haha" again an hour later this time I happen to be home and going to bed which I told him. Yes I like him. This is why I am asking..... why would he ask and why does it matter to him who I'm with?

maybe he was jealous. what type of relationship do you guys share?

do you still share feelings. looks like he still has some feelings, if not just acting jealous. no one can have what he cannot type.

We flirt a lot and he does things to make me believe he has feelings, like things a friend would not normally do, but nothing has actually been said. I have a feeling I am going to have to be the one to go out on the limb and bring it up to him.
