Book Thread Escape Reality!

I need to read a fiction writer who is a page-turner who whose Talent is keeping one's attention can be absolute bullshyt. Trying to get over someone trying to stay busy.

I prefer non fiction books philosophy, feminist thought, and other political ideology though

pretty much anything by bell hooks, Cornel West or Judith Butler

Paul Sussman - Yusuf Khalifa series (3 books) (theme is ancient Egypt pharaoh curses, set in modern times)

Michael Crichton - feel free to sample his books that haven't been transferred to the "silver screen" (i hate that term >.< )..... State of fear, Prey

Dan Brown - Deception point

Deception Point sounds interesting.

I wish I could read! Since sometimes ago - I can't concentrate on reading or movie shows because I am sliding to think of things that unhealthy for my brain.

Used to read like crazy!
