Hall of mirrors
Peering past you
A plan of wasteful time
Sincerely shattered
Clear the air in the ego space
Where the tasteless things manifest,
Eyes glaring, waving hands
Your devotion, the courage potion
Drinks to the beat, of your feet
To the pavement, no commotion
Unknown territory and scared
All along it was the best
Smile and pose
Fake your death
And take a real breath
Bold and alone
You could be a night time
Vigilante
Justice in the name
of Judas
Or a small town priest
A someone to someone
That much, at least
Carrying water
Holding the candle
Overhead, the beast
Who do you think
Who do you think
I think
I think that you are
Winter is the season of loss and longing,
When the days are short and the nights are long,
When the cold and the dark envelop the world,
And the snow covers everything in white.
But winter is also the season of hope and wonder,
When the sky is lit by the northern lights,
When the colors dance and shimmer in the air,
And the stars shine brighter than ever.
I remember you, my dear, when I see the northern lights,
How you loved to watch them with me,
How you smiled and laughed and held me close,
And how you made me feel alive.
You are gone now, my dear, for many years,
But you are still with me in my heart,
You are still with me in my dreams,
And you are still with me beneath northern lights.
Winter is the season of grief and healing,
When I miss you more than ever,
Then I dream, smile and am thankful for you,
And see you around me again.
