I am sure you want someone else's opinion. It's not subject I would understand.
i looked at it a bit,
but only 2 pages. (meaning i didnt go further than 2 pages) it's pretty good so far.
that's alot of pages!!!
maybe other people will give you more a deeper analysis.

not really. i said i didnt go past 2 pages. I've been working on my own stuff on and off.
how far did you go?
i'm now wanting to write short snippets of a story to get revenge on a homewrecker.
since i was reading on betty broderick and dan broderick's story. Ugggghhhh
that story makes me want to write a revenge story, on how to get that woman and destroy her!!!
oh man that story gets a woman's goat!!!
it really would piss off alot of women.

A good place to start would be to read some reviews in your field. If you're familiar with the major journals in the field, you could search these with words such as "review," or otherwise contact a librarian to help you find the database(s) most relevant to your subject.
A review should capture the state of the art in the field, as well as the context that led up to that work, so there are two directions to search from. In one case, look at the most current literature surrounding the specific subject you're working with (which I assume is much more specific than "civil engineering"). Gather articles that describe new developments, and try to capture the similarities and differences between these developments. The next step will be to look at the sources they cite: the chances are very good that many articles will be citing some of the same sources, and these are particularly important to look into. Ultimately, you may be able to trace things way back to a few papers that were the foundation of your particular specialty.
