The Cold Sea Air

Underneath the cold sea air,
Our footprints slowly appear in the white sand,
I want us to stay forever on this land,
We run into the waves, hand in hand.

Happiness is something we will chase forever,
Something you might not find when we're together,
So let's stay here for another day,
Before this cold sea air fades away.

We lay down and stare at the blue night sky,
I wish that we could fly,
High up above,
As free as love.

The cold sea air has gone away,
You've faded for another day,
I want to remember when you were mine,
Before this rich and tasteless decline.

Now I am alone,
I wait here, you just roam,
Thinking about your brown eyes,
And the way you used to be surprised.

I once loved the cold sea air,
It was always nice and fair,
I see flashbacks of you and I on that beach,
Hopeful, I run, to a destination, I will never reach.

I'm standing alone. Again.
