To someone retired, can you end with "happy holidays"?

Remember, they have assured you they are thoroughly enjoying their retirement...

I hate to come across sarcastic when I don't mean to...
But I sense a tinge of sarcasm in "happy holidays".. what do you think?

I SEND THE SAME CARD EVERY YEAR
MONEY IS SHORT
TIMES ARE HARD
HERE IS YOUR FUCKING XMAS CARD
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

You caps and your talk about money always....
Yours is a joke, mine isn't so "happy holidays" actually makes that Xmas verse sound a bit better

Are you referring to the valediction/closing of a letter or card?

If it is a seasonal card such as Christmas or New Years, then yes, "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings" is the politically correct valediction and is not sarcastic in the least.

Being in a retirement situation does not factor into the expression "Happy Holidays."

The "Happy Holidays" wish is a heartfelt expression for the season and is for anyone who celebrates that particular holiday.

But in a retirement situation it's ALWAYs a holiday?
I don't know it's sarcastic if you think about it
I'm really bad at not being sarcastic
But this time an omission of this greeting is best
Since its not even the holidays depending on your viewpoint lol
