I think we have a sense of ... you are an adult, you have common sense as to what is ok and what's not. I try to give people the opportunity to correct themselves by asking open ended questions instead of getting pissed. Then I address it and I try to move on, you know I've told you. like if I tell you I like x, and you keep giving me y, then I tell you no please i perfer you do X, and you keep giving me y, then why would I get mad about it. I'll just get x from someone else. and tolerate your y

I always get taken advantage of. I address it. I will still deal with being taken advantage of, and I will pursue other situations outside of the person taking advantage of me.

Then when confronted about said outside activities, I tell the truth, yes I am dealing with other people, I wasn't but I gave you numerous opportunities to correct your behavior and you didn't.

it maybe passive aggressive but, I addressed it with no resolution on their behalf, so I find other outlets.
