The venus person tends to represent the root of the saturn person's insecurities.
Like if its about body confidence the saturn person will be insecure the venus person will have entire population of earth drooling over their body and in front of the saturn person. This attraction will increase when the saturn person is in the picture.
If the saturn person is insecure about their career the venus person will have this amazing career and truly think success for their partner is important. They will pick at the saturn person.
The thing is the venus person is attracted at first to this person despite not liking them. Like a liberal attracted to a republican.
Or the saturn sees the venus person as childish ..and the venus person sees the saturn person as mean etc.
The hard aspects are initial boom type attraction and passion fading to hate.
The soft aspects like sextile or trine are very rarely going to lead to anything romantic. But if they do they are very harmonious. But more than likely they end up being colleagues or friends only.

Do you think hard aspects to the Ascendant like Mars/Venus/Sun function the same way when it comes to attraction? I never see any threads on thise aspects in synastry.
They all function differently.
Saturn is a notoriously hard planet to have hard aspects with in dynasty.
Saturn with a hard aspect to the ascendant in synastry might play like this. The saturn person at first appears to have all the answers to the ascendant person. But it goes too far
The Ascendant is a point ...not a planet. The saturn person actually is SO MUCH MORE WISER AND OLDER AS A SOUL that they become like a parent /mentor to the ascendant person...and they actually help form a root personality in the ascendant person no matter what age the ascendant person is.
Like the ascendant person could be 50 and meet a 30 yr old saturn personwho transforms their identify.
The issue is this can be too much control for the ascendant and the saturn just gets tired of the responsibilty. Plus when the ascendant person is fully developed and has learnt all they can from the saturn ..they move on. Its like they suck and soak it all up then move on.
