VENUS RX IN GEMINI 2020
Dear all,
This is the retrograde that I’ve warned you about. The moment that you have all been waiting for. The Rx that is REALLY going to knock all of your bombaquack socks off!
VENUS IN GEMINI RETROGRADE!!!!!
Okay, okay, okay... Let me slow it down a notch before you get your knickers in a twist. Or whatever panties you got on. Rahh.
Anyway...
Venus, is known as the planet of love and beauty – or in layman’s terms, it rules Taurus & Libra. With this coming into retrograde in Gemini, this causes Venus to be “out of bounds” considering that Mercury is the ruler of both Gemini/Virgo. Another thing that you should in regards to this retrograde in particular, is that it only goes into retrograde every 18 months so this is a HUGE deal. Another reason why this particular retrograde is significant, is because of the fact that Venus collides with Juno; which has been in retrograde since February 8th.
When Venus/Juno come into conjunction as a retrograde, expect for some fireworks and hella drama to pop off.
Although Venus is going to begin its retrograde from May 13th until June 25th, the pre-shadow period of Venus Retrograde begins from April 9th to May 11th; with the post-shadow period beginning from July 2nd to July 29th.
With shadow periods included, the Venus Rx in Gemini will begin April 9th to July 29th, giving us all three months and three weeks to work with its energies.
So, you better be in for a lot of changes that are going to rock your world in the best... And worst possible way.
Before I get into the warning; if you’re Venus dominant, or you have Venus as your chart ruler, this is going to affect you BIG TIME. I should also note that this retrograde is significant, because Venus retrogrades in Gemini every 8 years; so, those with Venus in Gemini are going to have lightning striking them multiple times.
So, this is where I need to drop the warnings and tell you what NOT to do when Venus goes into retrograde:
1) DO NOT START ANY RELATIONSHIPS IN THIS PERIOD. DO NOT DO IT. DON’T DO IT. IT WILL NOT WORK. I’M TELLING YOU. DO NOT DO IT! (But if you do, you have been warned. Your funeral!) The same goes with dating, nothing is going to stick.
2) DO NOT TAKE BACK ANY EXES! Prepare for a lot of exes during this period to come back for the next month and a half, but no matter how good the sex may be – it ain’t worth it. Do you REALLY want to be repeating karmic lessons? Exactly, so don’t be stupid. But in the same breath though, trust your intuition. There could be some exes that you genuinely want to work things out with that will see the relationship lasting for the long-term and being turned into something serious. (As I say though, it is definitely worth consulting your cards or just having a conversation with your Higher Self as to what you should do when this happens.)
3) DO NOT PLAN ANY WEDDINGS DURING THIS PERIOD!!!! I’m serious! Do not even go there. Venus & Juno are going to cause a lot of havoc when it comes to this, so whatever plans or dates that have been made during this period need to be rescheduled. If you do end up getting married during this period, best of luck. No sarcasm. Okay, just a little. I seriously do not advise you getting married during this time, and here are some very legitimate reasons why:
Exhibit A – The past: There is a good chance that whatever hidden demons you and your partner have, will come out; especially if it involves the past. What I mean by that is this: there could be some shocking revelations that will come out in which you may not be ready for that will ultimately make you reconsider marriage or your relationship in general. Remember, retrograde is there to help you PAUSE, REFLECT, REASSESS AND REVIEW.
Exhibit B – Timing: Another reason why I would completely advise against getting married during this time is for the fact that the timing in which this happens in, is going to be completely off. This is where I suggest allowing Venus/Juno Rx to ride out; considering that they both will be finishing their individual retrograde periods around the beginning of Cancer Season (in addition with the shadow period that they will both be going through after Rx is over.)
4) PREPARE FOR ARGUMENTS TO ARISE! This is nothing like the Mercury Retrograde that happened when all of that energy was in Aries, this is REALLY going to take the biscuit. Like I said, Venus is “out of bounds” due to it being retrograde in Gemini (which Mercury rules) so expect for communication to be AWOL. This could potentially lead to a lot of relationships breaking up, and that is another reason I am going to get into in this next warning...
5) BREAK-UPS WILL BE HAD, BUT RECONCILIATIONS COULD HAPPEN! Yes, this is the time where all of your relationships (regardless of your marital status) will be up for a serious review. What I will say however, is that you never know what could happen; so, I would advise in checking where Uranus is going to be making a transit in alongside where your Venus will retrograde in. Whatever has to be ended around this time, will, and there is no stopping the inevitable. It will hurt, but consider it a huge blessing in disguise. For some relationships as I mentioned, reconciliations could happen around this time; but make sure that this is something that has been Divinely orchestrated. What is meant to be for you, won’t pass you – so be patient.
Now that I have got all of that out of the way, here is where I am going to be getting extremely detailed. This is how Venus & Juno are going to be affecting all of the houses, so you best pay attention:
1) 1H – The first house (aka the house of Aries) represents the Self, your identity and your approach to life. With Venus being in Rx within your first house, this is going to be a time where you reflect and reassess your wants and needs. This is really all about YOU. What type of person do you want to be in regards to your relationship/marriage? Are you REALLY ready to commit? Are you ready to take your relationship to the next level and take things seriously? Maybe you’re single and you’re thinking about the type of partner that you like, and that you would want to attract. Worry not, with Venus Rx; this somehow works in your favour due to the fact that this is all about reassessing your true romantic desires. With that being said, be careful about being too self-absorbed. This could potentially be a triggering time for you where you may completely hate being single, but don’t let this get to you too much. If you’re in a relationship, you could suffer a classic case of “it’s not you, it’s me” syndrome (or the other way around!). Either way, be very careful in how you manoeuvre during this time; your every move is really being watched.
2) 2H – The second house (aka the house of Taurus) is all about money, finances, materialism. Basically, the first half of what Venus takes pride in. And boy, are you in for one heck of a shock when this happens. Okay, so you’re probably thinking: “Why is it in Gemini? Why not Taurus? Or Libra?” My answer – consider yourself very lucky that it is NOT retrograde in your naturally ruled sign, but this doesn’t mean that you are going to get away with this scotch-free. Prepare for a lot of conversations about money being had during this time, and considering that Venus is shining a massive light on your relationships/marriage, this is going to most likely be a triggering time where you could come to blows with your partner about money. Maybe you are being too impulsive about how you spend, or you could absolutely hate your partner for being so materialistic (well, that IS the nature of Taurus after all... They love their security and stability, of course!) - but this could also be a time where you want to stop and really reflect on your financial situation. Is there an engagement ring that you want to get that requires a lot of money? Maybe you fancy a lovely getaway to a fancy island? Luckily for you, this is not Mercury Retrograde; but I still don’t recommend you blowing your money recklessly. Especially not at this time Taurus. Don’t do it. Hold back, save your coins and wait for this all to blow over so that you can use your logic again. Communication between you and yours could be a bit shaky, so be extremely careful in not letting your stubborn nature affect your relationship/marriage. I know you love your security and all that Taurus, but chill out buddy!
3) 3H – The third house (aka the house of Gemini) is all about communication and the mind. Considering that Mercury is the natural ruler of the zodiac, Venus is going to be taking over Mercury’s job for the next month and a half. And by the looks of things, expect for a lot of stuff to be shaken up in a huge way that will either leave you running for comfort or embracing the changes being made and making your relationship stronger. Gemini, Gemini, Gemini... You’re in a really weird position here, because this is going to be affecting your mind and will cause you to think about a lot. Where are you at in your head when it comes to being in a relationship? Do you want one? Are you breaking your own heart (or somebody else’s) by leading them on? Are you happy being by yourself, enjoying your company? Are there hidden feelings for someone in which you need help getting across? Well, look no further! Venus is going to be there to help ease things and make the whole operation smoother, especially when it comes to what you truly want to say. But the downside to this, is the fact that you are going to be in your head... A LOT. There is no telling what you could possibly be thinking, especially with Venus being in your sign that has no characteristics in common with what/who you truly are. But with anything, it is better for you to be honest and to speak your mind (with delicacy and caution) than it is to lie.
