Aqua girl - sag man

I'm an aqua girl and this sag guy asked me out!
Unfortunately it didnt last very long as he states he is emotionally and not ready in the head for a relationship at the moment, needs his space, and doesn't know what he wants and can only offer me friendship right now, but states that he still likes me, and always has done.
I text him occasionally, but he very rarely replies at all, and that was 6wks ago!
Seen him a few times since in passing and he smiles, laughs and looks at me, sometimes calls me darls, and has gone out of his way to come to my car, look into my window and say hi to my small kids.
Last time I saw him he asked me if I had changed my number. (Which I had, but also still have my old phone and number) he seemed concerned when I had changed it and that I wouldn't have received any of his messages he had sent. Upon checking my old phone he had never sent me any messages!!!!!
Why would he want me to think he had been texting me if he hasn't?
Our birth charts are very compatible, and I was just wondering if he still likes me, is really waiting and giving himsf space to be ready for a relationship and wants to be with me, and whether you think he will come back and want to be with me - I'm just so confused!!!!!!!!

After changing my number I have sent him a few messages asking him to tell me if he doesn't want to be with me eventually and that I will wait a few months for him to be ready!
All iMessages say delivered, so presume he got them, get clearly he's implying he ain't received anything from me!!!!
Gave him my new number since, and yes he replied, but nothing flirty!

He just came out of a relationship in December with a girl he thought was the one, but she hurt him, and he no longer has contact with her. He kept saying that he thought he was ready for a relationship with me, but coz he had been hurt by his ex wife and every single girl he had been with he just wasn't ready for anything right now, and could only offer my friendship at the mo, but stated that he does still like me.
He did really chase me at the start and said he had always liked me.
I'm confused, as our birth charts are very compatible!
Is he being honest and telling me he isn't ready, but does still like me and will probably want something in the future with me?

I came on a bit strong unfortunately and didnt give him the space he wanted. He asked me to give him a bit of space, coz he liked me, but I initially freaked after coming out of a 10yr marriage.
Think we both want a relationship - is he really scared and not ready?!? Really like him, and am now giving him space and only texting occasionally to say hi!
Will he come back?!?

lady i wouldnt pressure those types of men. Just send him music videos, your undying support.
