Agree with the ignoring of feelings. Each time i ever followed my feelings, it ended in disaster- NEVER AGAIN

We all have out little quirks about us. I want to know if my fellow Aqau's may go through the same or similar occurrences and how you handle them.I become aloof and emotionally disconnect. As I've gotten older it's become on a subconscious level, but still on purpose. I also play dumb pretty well.
Have any of you ever found yourself doing the same?
Purposely overlooking and ignoring yourself/your feelings and emotions?
Stopping yourself from doing or saying something that just might make you 10x's happier?
Have you gotten angry with yourself for doing so?
Have you managed to get a grasp on controlling or stopping it?
How have you handled it?
i am definitely aware of my own quirks and i get so frustrated with myself. I ALWAYS shut down and become emotionally disconnected whenever someone talks about their feelings. I also tend to block anyone and everyone out in my mind whenever I am in deep thinking mode lol and lose touch with whats going on around me. My friends don't understand how I can do that. Yes, i have stopped myself from saying something that would make me happier. I have so many things I want to say to a virgo i am currently dating, but i hold back because i do fear rejection and things going downhill/pushing her away. Talking about my feelings and attempting vulnerability is something i need to work on soooooooo badly!
I agree also with the losing sight of what's going on around me bcoz of too much thinking. Sumtime i even forget what day/date it is, lol.

That I do except when trying to read. I don't know how many time's I've had to start from the top of the page again because people were being bothersome. There are times I find are great for blocking everything out and other times I should be paying attention. I think I have them reversed in my psyche LOL We are the biggest day dreamers.
Following my feelings or opening up is always a fail for me. There are lots of things I want to say that I never say, because I know they will hurt someone's feelings and the other person will make so much of it, that it will turn into a discussion about something else. I love to day dream all day all night. Things work out the way I like them to when Im day dreaming! :-)
Should we hide out emotions/feelings even when it's something good?
What if we were able to manifest those day dreams into reality and it was only our fears holding us back?
note to self... the "r" is one key over....
out = our
I don't know if we should, but I feel like what I attempt to show my feelings it does not come across as sincere. Most of may day dreaming or fantasy is so far out there, I don't think I can make them true. I would have to be able to control everything and everyone.
Hmm interesting. *sits in the corner and observes*
Have any of you ever found yourself doing the same? Yes, often. Mostly it's for self-protection against various things.
Purposely overlooking and ignoring yourself/your feelings and emotions? Yes, sometimes I just like to switch my head off for a while and deal with it later. Sometimes though, my mood will make me dramatic over silly things so i switch off to see whether I'm just being silly or whether it's something that actually does require more attention.
Stopping yourself from doing or saying something that just might make you 10x's happier? Rarely. I'm not here to accept unhappiness when I have a choice in the matter.
Have you gotten angry with yourself for doing so? No, it works well for me. I've given up trying to change it because it's never worked well for me.
Have you managed to get a grasp on controlling or stopping it? Nope, I don't feel the need. As I said, it works for me.
How have you handled it? Very well, mostly. I've probable switched off longer than i should and have definitely alienated myself from social company for too long at times, but generally I've found a way to keep balance so I'll stick with it.

There's a greater fear of wondering "what if?" than keeping quiet for me, so I'm going with a "no, don't hold it back". Also, daydreams are hope. Hope is always good. You can combine the two and enjoy them together.
yea, i ignore my emotions a lot. they either get me in trouble or i get hurt. i very rarely let them out.
I think Aqua females are great. I know a few. I love that they are not ruled by their emotions like many women. They rock. The men on the other hand......
