I've read that Aqua men won't lie when you ask them a blunt question ... The first time. Any time after, the more you ask and disbelieve, he's said to give you wilder and wilder stories to that same question.

How true do you find this statement?

I dont get this. I mean why would you ask the same question over & over unless u yourself different variations of the answer. If he lies the 2nd time around, it means he is giving u what u want, variety. It would annoy me too if sumbody asked me 1 thing over & over, to avoid boredom i would dig into my fantasy bag for less boring answers. It just doesnt make sense to repeat questions unless ur deaf & couldnt hear the answer the 1st time. I mean, come on.

I would have to agree. Something is going on...did someone in your past lie to you all the time? Aqua's are pretty blunt and truthful so trust in that. If you keep questioning him/her you will piss and/or annoy them eventually and bruise and jeopardize your relationship with them. You wouldn't want someone to ask you the same thing over and over again. That becomes tiresome.

I would also do the same as watercup says first time I would tell the truth the second I would become a smart arse and give you a ridiculously sarcastic answer.

Ahahaha. This thing is funny. 1st time asked: what did u do? I walked to the store. 2nd time asked: i did frog leaps to the store. 3rd time asked: i took a ufo to get me to the store. What do u expect? LOL

Hypothetical question peeps. Some people are honest no matter how many times you ask. And some never speak the truth...was wondering how Aquas fared...hmmm

I get the annoying part, but if the story changes, it'll be harder to believe someone in the future with different questions, don't you think?

Plus maybe sum details were forgotten the 1st time, by the time u ask for the 100th time, the whole story might be detailed & complete- if they are that patient

More like unsatisfying answers the first time to cause a re-asking. Not a quest to catch an error or hearing loss, lol. Nothing diabolical. Maybe insecurity, maybe forgetfulness. Maybe the answer was too wild the first time to actually believe.

Different strokes for different folks

Ur right, different strokes/different folks. I was about to suggest that the answering of questions to be done in a huge hall or a cave, so the echo could do the repeating while i walk away.

"Agree, but it shows disbelief in the 1st place if u keep pressing repeat, so whats the use of repeating the same answer if it didnt hit home the 1st time?"

Amen!

Unless it's an answer that would cause conflict, I am upfront and honest. With conflict for those I love, I may pussyfoot around and be as delicate as possible. I agree with all the answers above about repeating the question several times over. It's annoying. It's annoying to constantly repeat oneself... Example: my mom, a Sag, will go on for hours about finding a lighter in the wash machine... in thousands of different ways - all saying the same thing. As I've grown I've tried to reason with her about how the water boiler guys or the oil delivery men don't need to here about it too - for another hour, about asking 21 questions - all the same question but worded differently, and about how after being told more than 3 times, no one listens and they will do what the hell they want. It's like beating a dead horse. My dad on the other hand, a Cap, is laid back and silent unless really pissed off - a lot like me. I'm so glad I don't live there. I value my sanity too much.

I second that Amen.
Disbelief, distrust, and utterly annoying. We are imaginative and creative to begin with so we can come up with the most unique tall tales ever when put in front of a drill sergeant - not that the other party intended to come off that way, but thats how we'll see them. Where do people think "The dog ate my homework" came from LMAO

Lol, exactly. Or the tree jumped infront of me, in the case of car accidents.

LMAO... so true. We do have a lot of fun with them don't we? My little niece's birthday is the day before mine... and the stories she has come home with are out of this world. We just need to teach her how to add in somewhere that it's a tall tale before we end up going to the school board or police. When she reaches adulthood she can have all the fun she wants messing with peoples heads. LOL

To an Aqua the way we think is logical. It may not appear that way to others, but we don't care, actually. If you ask a question the logical response is to reply with honesty. To ask the same question over and over is irritating - you've had your answer, you've heard the truth, why keep asking? If you ask a question listen to the answer, process it, be done with it. You can accept it, or not accept it, it doesn't really matter. If you ask again and again you'll get the piss taken out of you because you've then become an idiot, an annoying blob of tissue and matter - hence the elaborating on the answer - it becomes farcical because being asked over and over IS farcical...to an Aqua.

Ask.
Listen.
Be done.

Simple, really.
