Aquarians and compliments?

Hi all you Aquarians,

I am not an aquarian, but i read somewhere on these boards that aquarian ladies like compliments... Now, i don't blame them, but isn't it a contradiction in terms? Because i read somewhere else that they like "mysterious" pepole who don't give them much attention...? By complimenting an aquarius, aren't you giving them "attention", thus no longer remaining "mysterious"?

Therefore, if you compliment them, how can you possibly get them to like you?

I posted this message because i thought the aquarian board needed some livening up. Lol. Only kidding.

ooh ooh I know, I know!! Let me answer this one!

Okay, in myself, I LOVE compliments. But I don't take them well. I don't feel that when someone tells me I am pretty or smart or whatever that I really am. I will make a joke and tell them to stop. I feel like I don't deserve the compliments. But deep, deep down I am glowing. I love it!

I have tended to look for men that are mysterious. But as I get older, I feel like I need more attention. Am seeing another Aquarian and he gives me compliments all the time. Good compliments. Like your "hair looks good. You look nice. You are so soft." etc. My Taurus husband says things like "man, I'd like smack on that thing for awhile!" It's all in the delivery I guess!!!! hehe

I think that by not accepting the compliments well it doesn't bring us out in front of everyone. Which is the last thing that I want is to be the center of attention. well, maybe once in a while, but not always.

I know, it doesn't make much sense. It doesn't to me anyway. I've just learned to live with it, I guess!

Everything Ms. Mindy says is so true for us aquarians and compliments.........I like them but don't take them easily and try jokey jokey my way out of them........for example people are always coming up to me and saying I look like Phoebe!! from Friends and they mean it as a compliment - but I will always retort back...saying, yeah but if only I had her money I'd be doing OK!!! instead of just saying a sweet thank you to them!!! So now, I have to learn to say a simple thank you instead of all my jokey jokey push you away stuffy.....I'm learning:-)

One other thing, I do know instinctinctively when a compliment is sincere or when someone is just saying it to butter me up and sweet-talk me - and if it ain't sincere, I'll dismiss that person in the blink of an eye.........

I agree, Alana. I know exactly when someone is sweet-talking and when someone is sincere. Because then it makes me feel even worse. I start wondering, ok, what is wrong with my hair (or dress or whatever the compliment) if they said that??

Im an aquarian guy, I beleive that aquarians can see the root of peoples thoughts. What they want is a partner that challenges that vision. Sure complement them. Theyll like it. At the same time they know why you complimented them. They might or might not like that, depending on how you hide your animal instict. Word of advise: Hide your wants and your lust, because the harder you do that a little always seems to slip, the aquarian sees it as a turn on.
