Self-absorbed individuals

Are all of us Aquarians described as being self-aborbed, tactless, and rude? I never really actually thought or associated the idea of being self-absorbed with Aquarius.
That's what I read at a couple of places I looked to under Aquarius description.

How do some of you feel?

yes, I see it. Not self asorbed, but can 'sound' rude, cause we are to honest. WE are about the most honest signs going.
We are 'people' people,, we are 'not' self asorbed for sure.

Aquarians can only seem that way to some people but I think thats just due to the fact that some of you can be aloft and when your drawn back down in a hurry you react quickly and there for honest and some people can't handle honesty.I have alot of aquas for relatives and good friends.They do notice both good and bad qualitys in you that you don't notice about yourself until they mention it I think it's just the way the person percieves it.Rude tactless and self absorbed would be in my opinion only sees the negative ones.I just had to get an aqua out of feeling guilty today in fact because someone made him feel that maybe he wasn't a good person basically just told him the blunt truth that if he was a bad person he wouldn't feel that way.

Isn't this a hard subject to judge?

I mean..I hear aries are self-aborbed, tactless, and rude... some say it about scorpios... or some will say it about, dare I say it.. *whispers* virgos.

Anywho-- the simpliest answer is- depends on the perspective of the person making the judgement. When you "think" alike, you tend to agree with the behaviors/actions/reactions of the individual-- and think that they are rational.

On the other hand- when you think differently or approach problems differently.. you tend to think of the "other" as crass- highly sensentive- judgemental- or {insert negative superlative here}

Exactly! That's what I thought about first when I thought of the term self absorbed. I would associate with a sign such as an arrogant Leo or a headstrong Aries. And when I thought of tactless and rude, the first sign that came to mind were either Virgos or Caps, no offense.
But I guess it would all depend on the individual. I mean, when an Aquarius is self abosorbed, it's not simply saying we're all into ourselves or we think highly of ourselves. For the most part, maybe we do, but our honesty is our main key that keeps us ticking. And when we give out information, it's not that we're simply saying, "Ha, I'm right, everyone else is wrong," (though it may seem that way) we just want to help and better everyone around us. I do think that maybe Aquarians could learn to deliver info in a more tactful, less rude, and in more suffiencent ways. It's a our cool facade that we have to learn to adjust so that when we're handling a situation with a close friend, we have to make it seem like we're there, we understand, and that we're human beings as well. We may be a bit emotionless, but we have to show others that we really sincerely and truly, deeply care.

I agree with that . but I never seen aquas being selfobsorbed, rude ,,but like you said crimson. it depends on the individual,I also think it relates to how that individal was raised. like the family the person grew up around, may have rubbed off the traits.I do know I am known to be cold and down right emotionaless and the ice-queen, but when provoked. as for the being honest, yes, but I myslef tend to do the honesty with positive backup.. ok well now I do, since being a mom, gotta put more carer into your words an actions, so it is bascially how ia m totally anymore. befeor kids. I didnt really think before I spoke. ask me what I thought and I told you..I didnt care. not that way at all now. I also realized I took avantage more then than I could ever do now. an I agree with the showing others we sincerely care.

As for me, I know I am self-absorbed but I make up for it by also being the type of person who will do anything for almost anybody.

I have never known a self-absorbed Aqua person, at all!

Wow. Thanks for all the feedback and support on this topic. You all are such great ppl, and I know that deep inside there is a heart inside each and every one of us Aquarians. We just have to learn to bring it out.

Your right, the heart is inside..although I can be stubborn and try to keep it at bay..teh lil sucker appears every now and then..lol

3 Aquas I know are like this, my best friend, my close guy friend [ it is okay though sometimes ], and my other friend... 2 of them for no reason

Hi there, I'm the new aquarius on the block and I do agree that most aquarians are objective which some people see as aloof. I also think that if you're an intervert, like I am, we tend to think, analyze before coming out with stuff - some people might think that as self absorbed. I analyze everyone and every situation, as well as myself (self absorbed?) I don't like being like this - I would prefer accepting everyone at face favor, but I don't. However, there are some people or in certain situations that may benefit me when I'll allow others to think I've accepted their actions, etc. until the time is right for the truth to appear. Then I'm thought of as cold, but actually that person was thinking along that they were getting over on me.
But, I'm an Aquarian on the cusp of Pisces, therefore, I have a double dose of sensitivity. I tend to think and feel all at the same time.

I know I'm self absorbed too....but like Cancerlady, if sombody I love or consider a friend, or family, needs anything from me..and I am able...I will give it to them or do it for them,,,even if I act grumpy about it first. But I am a spoiled brat..very spoiled. But I know this.
