Aquarius bf asking for space

I am a Capricorn with Aries moon and he is an Aquarius with Gemini moon. Everything was fine until he started to distant a week ago and we had a fight over it. Didn't managed to address the issue.

Over the weekends, we went on a road trip (which we planned earlier). He was still distant, but was alright. We still hold hands and talk and he was even asking me for plans for my birthday next month.

This week he got busy at work and was really cold. Not communicating at all except reporting his location and his work stuffs. And all of a sudden, he dropped me a text one morning, saying he feels that he is drifting. I asked what does he wants out of this and told him to decide if he wants to stay or leave since this has been going on for a week. He answered me that he needs space to think.

Can someone tell me what to expect? Would he stay to work it out or would he leave?

When you told him to decide what he wants etc.. He probably felt trapped when he naturally feels free.

So it will not work and he will bail out. When he bails out. Dont try to figure out anything because he will probably not even be good enough to allow you to communicate and express your feelings.

A good way to deal with him at this point is tell him to take his time and that there is no rush with what he wants to do meaning stay together or not... Then tell him you are here but will be moving on naturally if he doesn't come up with what he wants to do.
