Joon, that is your purpose. I prefer a more subtle approach. I would create that in my house and show it to ppl who would be interested and understand. Your ppl at work are too locked into the system, that has told them how to think and feel. If your aim is to free them, it has to be done slowly.

Let's assume that they all had different and interesting things on their desks. Your nature would require you to create some more interesting on yours. You're stuck in the same situation again.

i work in retail, i don't really get bored at work. every day gives chance to some chaotic situation that i can fix and i am constantly in contact with new people and seeing new and different faces. i'm also allowed to talk and i am encouraged to treat everyone that walks in as if i am their best friend.

my last job i was there for 8 years (horrible) i saw the same faces every day, there was never any chaos (unless i started it out of bordem) and i was not allowed to talk (though i always did anyways) i have no clue how i stayed there so long... probably because i was getting paid nice, and i would never really get reprimanded for any of my actions because i was a good worker and they didn't want to lose me.

I just finished cooking Japanese Beef Teriyaki with rice and vegetables for my husband and his buddy.
There were three choices and they chose that one.

Sadly there were no big round red tomatoes today. Tomorrow tomatoe hunting.

mmmm mmmmm good huh?

although we used plates, not bowls. Macho men don't want no little bowls. LOL

(just teasing) but honestly, plates were used.
