If it's the drug you are referring to, I believe it burns through the seretonin (spelling?)in your brain. Never heard anything about spinal cord issues, thats acid.

I seem to remember there being a connection between acid and spinal fluid. I have known many people who did acid back in the partying days and I have heard claims of people popping their back really hard and getting a flashback. It could be all rumor, but thats what I have heard.
